4 Reasons Why You Don't Have Time As A Business Owner
"Ysaline, I don't have the time".
"I don't know when I'll be able to work on my business".
"I have too much to do".
"My todo list is never ending, I'm overwhelmed".
"I will do it later, I don't have the time now."
"I feel frustrated because I'm not getting anything done".
This is what I hear on a daily basis.
I see so many women struggling with their time, fighting against time every single day so they can achieve more.
Here is the 4 reasons why you don't have time to work on your business:
Reason 1: You Have Been Taught You Cannot Control Your Time
Since you are really young, you are acting like time is not something within your control (and to some extent, it is because you cannot control the speed of the minutes or the seconds).
However, you can control what you do with your time. You can control what you do a daily basis and what you spend time on.
Time should be an asset to your business. You should use time in a way that's helping you grow your business without overwhelm or stress.
To start controlling your time efficiently, you need to be clear on what you need to be doing. I see a lot of women starting their day without having a clue on what's going to happen today. Therefore they are losing time every morning trying to figure out what they should work on.
You should know every week and every day what you should work on.
Of course, some unexpected events might happen and might mess up your organization.
But regardless, you need to know exactly what are your priorities and what you should focus on.
Reason 2: You're Not Intentional With Your Time
One of the keys to start having the time is being intentional with your time.
What does that mean?
Being intentional with your time is about challenging yourself to be more productive.
I see you telling yourself: "Today, I'm going to create my content for next week".
Instead of challenging you to create content in 2 hours, this is taking the entire day!
Why? Because you're not believing you can create content in 2 hours.
Every action that you're doing is conditioned by your mind. If your mind is telling you it's impossible, your body will not take action.

To start having the time, you need to start optimizing your time. And this is starting by working on your mindset.
Start with a mini-challenge. For instance, try to create content for your week in 4 hours. Assess the results. If this is working, reduce the time frame. If it's not, increase the time frame. But always keep in mind that the more you'll do it, the faster you'll become.
Productivity is coming from repetition so don't be too hard on yourself.
Reason 3: You're Not Sticking To Your Boundaries
Boundaries is such a big word, making a lot of you freak out!
You need to have boundaries and you need to stick to them.
The reason why you're losing time is because you're not sticking to your time blocks.
Time blocking is helping you be intentional with your time by setting a specific time window to do a job. But it's also helping you protect your time and more importantly the time that you're spending with your family.
When you don't have boundaries, you accept to work for your clients late at night or to get on a call with them over the weekend. You're saying YES to a lot of things that you don't want to do.
You need to have boundaries and you need to stick to them in order not to burn out in your business.
When you decide intentionally not to stick to your boundaries, you're getting stressed and overwhelmed. You're losing track of your priorities and you're pilling up late work you need to catch up on.
Reason 4: You're Getting Yourself Busy With The Wrong Tasks
Being busy is the enemy of good time management.
When you're busy, you're drowning yourself under a list of things to do that are not important. You're putting your focus on tasks that are not going to help you make money in your business.
Why? Simply because it's a self-sabotage mechanism.
Every action that you take is driving by your mind.
Being busy is safer than taking actions on your business.
What if you fail? What if you succeed? What if you're being judged?
Your thoughts are conditioning the way that you're managing your time.
In order to stop being busy, you need to understand what you are afraid of? What is in your way of taking action now?
To start making money in your business, you don't need to work long hours, you need to work on the tasks are going to make money in your business.

1yLove this article, Ysaline Rozier! Setting and sticking to boundaries is crucial for maintaining a healthy work-life balance as an entrepreneur. Without clear boundaries, it can be easy to say "YES" to every request or demand that comes your way, leading to overwork, burnout, and neglect of personal and family time. It's important to prioritize and make intentional decisions about how you allocate your time, both for your own well-being and the success of your business!
