4 Tips and 2 Very Important Rules. Also, How to Not Get Lost In 2023.

This article is part of our 40 Days of Design series.

From TikTok to Instagram Reels, more and more brands are using short videos to connect with their audiences and tell their stories.

The hot trend of yesterday is here to stay.  I believe short-form video will continue to grow in popularity in 2023 for more traditional industries like architecture and real estate.

Short-form video is a quick and engaging way to share information and connect with your audience. It's perfect for platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn, where attention spans are shorter and people are looking for bite-sized pieces of content.

According to the Hubspot Blog Marketing Industry Trends Report [1], "90% of marketers using short-form video will increase or maintain their investment next year, and 21% of marketers plan to leverage short-form video for the first time in 2023, also the highest of any trend." Deloittes 2022 Global Marketing Trends research [2] suggests that putting customers first is one of the key trends for 2023. These statistics indicate that there is a strong trend of increasing investment in and adoption of short-form video in marketing strategies for 2023.

But for those not in the Social Media Influencer scene the question is: how can you use this trend to your advantage?

Well, for starters, short-form videos can be used  in a variety of ways to connect with their target audience and promote their projects. Some ideas include:

  1. Behind the scenes: Give your audience an inside look at the development process. Share videos of the progress on your projects, highlighting the work of your team and showcasing your expertise.
  2. Project highlights: Create short videos that highlight the key features of your projects, such as unique architectural design, sustainable features, and amenities.
  3. Collaboration: Collaborate with influencers or other industry experts to create content that showcases your projects and reach new audiences.
  4. Testimonials: Use short-form videos to showcase testimonials from satisfied customers, which can be a powerful way to build trust and credibility with potential buyers and investors.

“Video is the future of content marketing. Period." - Gary Vaynerchuk

But there are challenges to consider as well. Creating high-quality video content requires a lot of time, effort, and resources. And if you don't have the in-house expertise or equipment, it can be difficult to get started. Hiring a content creator can help overcome this challenge and ensure that your videos are polished and professional.

If done correctly, short-form video can be a powerful tool for building brand awareness and driving engagement.

And if you need help with creating that content, don't hesitate to reach out to me and my team at In Good Company. Let's work together to create visually stunning and engaging video content that will help your business stand out in 2023.
