4th day of the USA trip with agricultural experts
My 4th day in the USA was scheduled to visit the State of Iowa and interact with the experts in the field of Agriculture and Technology. I had also addressed the Telugu diaspora and expressed firm belief in their inherent capabilities.
During my visit, I met with the state agriculture minister, Bill Nordi, Nita Bhushan, who is the Council General of India in Chicago for 10 States and Kenneth Quinn, the president of World Food Prize Foundation. In this convention, we signed an agreement with the Iowa state government at the World Food Prize Foundation building. Under this Memorandum of Cooperation, the Government has agreed to make genuine contributions towards the development of Agriculture, Science, Technology, Research sectors. Various steps will be covered under this compliance in order to improve the condition of our farmers and their agricultural practices as well. I also made time to meet the Dean of Iowa State University, Professor Wendy, who shared that the Seed Science Centre of the university is ranked as the best research centre in the world, not just in the United States and they are constantly cooperating with farmers by providing them farming knowledge.
The aim of visiting the series of events was to learn more about the advanced technological trends that will contribute towards the improvisation of the agricultural productivity.
