5 Business Trends to Look Out For in 2023

5 Business Trends to Look Out For in 2023

For some, it feels as if our New Year’s celebrations were only yesterday. However, we’ve already made it into the third quarter of 2022, and are slowly creeping towards 2023. With this in mind, businesses are now turning their attention towards 2023 strategies. So, without further ado, here are 5 top business trends to look out for in the coming year.

1) Artificial Intelligence

Everybody’s talking about AI. Stereotypically rooted in the world of science fiction, AI is, in fact, simply any computer – or ‘artificial’ – software that is able to perform human actions. Believe me, the day to day life of a business owner is not without its challenges! It’s therefore unsurprising that AI is often utilized as a support system in the workplace. For example, AI can be used for machine learning, cybersecurity, data research and personal assistance – to name but a few! Furthermore, in 2023, it is predicted that Ubiquitous and Cognitive Artificial Intelligence, which are two of AI’s prime forms, will transform work life: streamlining processes, and specifically improving human communication and problem-solving.

2) Virtual & Augmented Reality

Everybody’s talking about the metaverse. Virtual reality – and augmented reality – both facilitate the metaverse, and provide a whole host of opportunities for the business world. This is only set to increase in 2023, with forms of VR and AR making day to day work life easier – the accessibility of VR meetings, for example! – creating innovative marketing methods, and even extending to product or service offerings.

3) Real-time Marketing

Social media is renowned for its uncanny ability to reward us with sought after hits of dopamine. A key contributing factor to this is the instant gratification it gives us, in pursuit of social connection. So, in today’s age of technology, how will you market your business in a way that complements this? Real-time marketing is essentially reactive marketing: your business will react in ‘live time’ to happenings and developments in your industry – and around the world, in fact – as opposed to carrying out a pre-planned marketing strategy. This is set to increase in 2023, as more and more businesses aim to keep ahead of the times, and communicate brand messaging that best engages with their audience.

4) User Interface Design

The pandemic truly took its toll on businesses, big and small. Even as we cautiously navigate our way through a post-lockdown world, businesses are still acutely aware of the importance of engaging with – and ultimately retaining – customers. Such engagement predominantly occurs online, where user experience is paramount. Subsequently, User Interface Design tools are predicted to trend in 2023, allowing businesses to design, redesign or even completely rebrand their products and services, using software that intrinsically focuses on the customer experience. Invest in a UI tool to ensure that your product offerings are tailored to the customer’s eye.

5) Greener Choices

2022 has seen a shift in global priority – but we certainly don’t intend to stop there! It is inevitable that businesses across all industries will continue to strive to find innovative sustainable practices. Sharing your environmentally friendly ethos is greatly important for your brand image.

Which business trend do you foresee shaping your 2023? Unsurprisingly, it looks like next year will showcase the continuous leaps and bounds of technology - with a specific focus on customer experience. Stay tuned!
