5 simple steps to a content-oriented SEO management strategy

In order to improve your website's visibility within Search Engines, you should consider a content-oriented SEO management strategy, then again, this is a task that shouldn't be taken lightly.

First, you must ensure that your website's structure is SEO ready, thus by adding the proper components and configurations to your sites code.

Now, assuming your site's SEO ready, the time to optimize your content has arrived, you can do so by following the next 5 simple steps:

1. Layout a content-oriented SEO management structure based on best practices

Before writing, you should start by brainstorming about the topics for which you want to stand out in the search engines. You can help yourself with the Google Keyword Planner, this tool will enable you to sort out the most searched keywords within your niche and target location. Just follow THIS LINK.

Once you have all your keywords defined you must arrange your content, ideally following the next patron:

  • Themes: Create an order by theme, appearance, topic.
  • Chronological order: Organize your content from old to new.
  • Didactics: It is crucial that your content is elaborated from simple to complex, thus you will give a background to the reader so that he can understand.
  • Problem - Solution: When establishing a problem, it is very important to propose a solution, always in that order.

2. Defining a keyword is fundamental

Using the help of your brainstorming session and the Google Keyword Planner, you should now have defined a keyword (or words) per page for your site, this will be the search term by which users will find your content on Google.

If your website contains several pages you'll have to choose a keyword or set of words for each page, remember that these keywords must be relevant in the context of each page.

3. Titles, subtitles, and bold letters are a must

Including the keyword in the main title is correspondent to a good SEO structure. When expressing your keyword from the beginning to the end of your content, search engines consider your text as more pointful, compared to other sites that lack this property.

Additionally, you must insert, as a minimum, one subtitle marked with an H2 tag using the target keyword.

The use of bolds are essential to increase the readability of your text, this means that the user can find the main ideas faster.

The titles must be marked with an H1 tag within the code of your website and the subtitles with an H2 tag, this is crucial for a good SEO Administration, you must use them to optimize your copy and help Google to identify the subject of your content.

4. The perfect copy of a content-oriented SEO Management

Once you've had structured the topics of your pages (titles and subtitles) you can begin to write the paragraphs, making sure that the subject matter is cleared as soon as possible is crucial for a good SEO management.

When creating texts for a site, people make several mistakes quite often, from adding blanks only 'for aesthetics' to include paragraphs with a single sentence. Here we leave some important recommendations so that the SEO management of your page is on flick:

  • The keyword must appear in the first paragraph of the text.
  • The keyword must be mentioned, at least, 3 times on each page.
  • The text of each page must contain at least 300 words.
  • At least 30% of each paragraph should contain transition words.

Examples of transition words:

  • Enumeration: And, first, first of all, also, finally, additionally, etc.
  • Cause: For this reason, therefore, because of this, while, therefore, etc.
  • Comparison: Also, it is more than, it is less than, in opposite way, as much as, etc.
  • Conclusion: Therefore, as a result, as well as, etc.
  • Ambiguity: Similar, maybe, probably, almost.
  • Emphasis: More than, especially, relevant, important

5. Ideal meta tags for a content-oriented SEO management strategy

The meta content refers to snippets of text that do not appear on the page per se, but in the page's code, this content is a small description that search engines use to know what the page is talking about. Depending on the language in which your page is written there are different ways to enter these meta codes.

Here we list some key-points to follow so your meta descriptions are on point:

  • The meta description must contain the target keyword.
  • The meta description must contain the target keyword.
  • The meta description must be at least 15 words.
  • The images on your page should have alt attributes that contain your target keyword.
  • The target keyword has to appear in the URL of the page.

Other good practices are:

  • Include, at least, an internal link on the page, consider adding a relevant one.
  • Consider adding an external link on this page, within the context of your writing.

Combining all of these qualities in your content will make Google Crawlers fall in love, enhancing your opportunities of reaching higher positions within the Search Engines rankings, then again, developing a content-oriented SEO management strategy can be a very pesky task.
