5 Steps to Building an Audience of 100M+ Through Writing.
Back in late 2018, I had never written anything online.
Fast forward 3 years, and I passed 100M impressions.
What most people don’t know?
I use the same process to write every time.
Here are the 5 steps:
Step 1: Ideate rapidly
What’s the fastest way to come up with ideas?
Use systems.
I created my own content matrix in Notion.
Much of writing is about systems.
Step 2: Choose a solid format
Struggling to format your writing?
There are so many tools out there to help.
I am loving TypeShare.
They have beautiful templates built right in for inspiration.
No better way to get started.
Step 3: Edit ruthlessly
No easier way to lose a reader than unclear writing.
So, once I'm done, I pass my writing through Hemingway App.
It tells me:
Paste in your writing and see where you can simplify.
Step 4: Distribute widely
99% of people I talk to waste distribution opportunities.
You've already written something.
Why not share it everywhere that's relevant?
I use HypeFury to send my content to Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
The tool is massively powerful.
Step 5: Stay consistent
Writing consistently is the most important step of all.
Here's the TL;DR:
• Ideate with topics/structures
• Format with tools like Typeshare
• Edit with tools like Hemingway
• Distribute with tools like HypeFury

Absolutely spot on! 🚀 Writing effectively is a powerful tool. Maya Angelou once said - There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you. Keep sharing your unique perspectives and stories, inspiring your audience. Your growth past 100k is on the horizon! 💫✨

11moWorking through the LinkedIn Operating System. Killer. Love it, but have to ask - How is the "Craft Beer Operating System" coming along? I was reading/watching genuinely valuable content which went something like "instructional instructional instructional CRAFT BEER instructional instructional..." Nice segue and holler if you need a beta tester for the "Craft Beer Operating System"

2yJust curious as to why you don't use Typeshare to distribute if you are already using it anyway?

2y"Step 4: Distribute widely" So largely underestimated this factor... It's incredibly hard for some some people to understand that a social media platform is a business. Businesses have three main life cycles, they are born, thrive/survive and die. That's what history teaches us no matter what the founders, shareholders or executives may say. Why would anyone want to tie their content to just one business? Sure, some platforms perform better than others at a certain stage, but to pivot at a certain point, it helps enormously to have content and branding across multiple platforms. Thank you for sharing!
