5 things Confident people don't do...

Good morning!

Did you realize that confident people are statistically more successful in business?

Self-confident people are more successful because they believe in their abilities, take calculated risks, and handle failure with resilience. Their positive mindset and attitude also help them attract and seize opportunities by having the confidence to effectively communicate, influence, lead, and take action.

Here are 5 Things Confident People Don't Do:

  1. Seek Validation from others: Confident people check in with the one voice and opinion that matters and that is their own.
  2. Become overly critical of yourself: Confident people don't beat themselves up instead they speak to themselves the same way they would a loved one or a child.
  3. Avoid confrontation: Confident people have a healthy relationship with confronting challenges as they are not concerned with rejection or how others may perceive them.
  4. Compare yourself to others: Confident people don't constantly compare themselves to others for good reason! We are all unique and different and it is none of our business what someone else's story or background or situation is and we will never have all of the insight to understand it.
  5. Struggle to make a decision. Confident people understand that not making a decision is a decision and a bad one. Be bold, take action and decide one way or another then adjust accordingly.

Often times someone's confidence is lowered when they find themselves:

  1. In the wrong environment.
  2. Around a team that doesn't support and encourage them.
  3. Settling for what they are doing instead of pursuing their passions.
  4. Not living to their potential.
  5. Stagnating and not growing.

Is this you?

These issues can be resolved.

In order to create confidence today:

Take action to change your circumstance even small steps count!

Write out your goals and start owning them. You need to believe first before anyone else will.

Absolutely agree with you, Heather Monahan! Confidence plays a huge role in success. It is not only about how others perceive us but also about how we perceive ourselves. When we have confidence, we approach challenges with a positive mindset, we take risks, and we are more likely to succeed. One thing I would add to the list is that confident people don't shy away from asking for help or seeking support when needed. They understand that reaching out for assistance is a sign of strength, not weakness. Keep sharing these valuable insights!

This is so wise of you, most people talk about what we should do. But it is really important to also focus on what NOT to do. Heather Monahan
