What is menopause?

Menopause is a natural transition that every woman will experience at some point in her life.

It typically occurs around the ages of 45 - 55 in the west, and marks the end of a woman's reproductive years, as menopausal women are no longer able to get pregnant.

During menopause, hormone levels fluctuate, resulting in changes in the body and menopause symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings and sleep disturbances.

Navigating menopause does not have to be a challenging experience. Here are five top tips for successfully navigating menopause:
