7 questions that will help you face any challenge or adversity.

7 questions that will help you face any challenge or adversity.

I know this might sound woo-woo to many, but consider this:

→ What if adversity is merely a necessary process?

→ What if it is a journey each of us must undertake to evolve into the best version of ourselves?

Just like in a video game, adversity could be that essential step propelling us to the next level.

Think of it as the hero's journey we all love:

→ the trials, the tribulations, and ultimately, the growth and triumph.

What if adversity is the ultimate test leading to our own heroic transformation?

If you've recently overcome a challenge or some form of adversity, whether in your personal life or at work, you're a hero! And I want to celebrate you.

Why?

Because adversity tests not just our self-belief, but also our attitude towards life.

It's the ultimate gauge of true character and mindset.

Adversity isn't merely a test though; it's a transformative process.

Consider my journey:

↳ Working with micromanagers taught me the importance of communication and setting personal boundaries.

↳ Navigating office politics and female relational aggression led me to 10x my emotional intelligence skills and understanding interpersonal dynamics.

↳ Experiencing nepotism instilled resilience and reinforced belief in my own abilities.

↳ Navigating a toxic work culture led me to explore true leadership and the significance of values and mental health.

↳ Losing friends during my entrepreneurial journey taught me the value of true friendship and the importance of a strong support system.

↳ Poor relationships revealed layers of self-discovery, highlighting my self-esteem and personal needs.

↳ Suffering from burnout underscored the importance of cherishing the present moment and prioritising my health and time.

So, if you're currently grappling with a personal or professional challenge, consider this advice:

→ Try shifting your perspective.

→ Try move away from the problem.

I understand it may sound counterintuitive.

But the next time you can spare five minutes for yourself, pause, close your eyes, and reflect on these 7 questions:

7 important questions to ask yourself in the face of adversity

And a very important question you can ask yourself:

What is this challenge or adversity I am facing trying to teach me?

It's through facing challenges and embracing the lessons they bring that we emerge wiser, stronger, and happier individuals.

It will not always obvious, but:

→  Take a mental step back and ZOOM OUT.

→ Look at the bigger picture.

Find solace in the fact life will always be full of ups and down.

But you have to be prepared.

Because adversity will push you out of your comfort zone.

And I know from my own personal experience,

being out of your comfort zone can be scary and overwhelming.

But being mentally, physically and emotionally equipped is what can make facing a challenge a lot easier.

The decisions we make in the face of adversity is what sets apart those who succeed from those who don't.

Many will remain stuck when faced with a challenge.

The sooner we can move away from the negative cycle of stress, overwhelm, uncertainty, the quicker we can take back control.

When we allow ourself to start believing in our abilities and our inner power to face any challenge head on, life can be very different.

And the wiser amongst us are those who seek help and support sooner rather than later.
