7 Steps to Spring Clean your Health

Although winter is lingering this year; the days are definitely getting longer and blossom is on the trees. Oh yes spring is in the air!

This is the ideal time to embrace the uplifting energy of the new season and create better daily habits to help you move forward with greater clarity and - dare I say it - a spring in your step.

Just like you might spring clean your house; here are 7 Simple Steps to upgrade your health and wellbeing with simple routines you can add to your day.

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.’
- Jim Rohn

1. Reset your sleep schedule

  • Turn your phone onto airplane mode before bed - it reduces your exposure to blue light prior to sleep, and creates space away from social media and constant communication.
  • Aim to wake with the sun.

“Sleep is profoundly intertwined with virtually every aspect of brain health. Lack of sleep over time can lead to an irreversible loss of brain cells—yet another debunking of the myth that sleep debt can be made up.”

2. Meditate each day

  • Commit to just 2 minutes, start simply to help you stick to it.
  • Pick a general time each day (e.g. morning when you wake up or during your lunch break). Find a quiet spot and take a comfortable seat. Focus on your breath - the inhale and the exhale.

“Meditation is a vital way to purify and quiet the mind, thus rejuvenating the body” – Deepak Chopra
