8 686 kilometers – not an obstacle!
8 686 kilometers – is the distance between Minsk and Kuala Lumpur. Company-developer of the SkyWay technology feels the relevance of transport problems in all regions of the planet more with each day: recently, the construction bureau, production site and CJSC “String technologies” EcoTehnoPark were visited by a delegation of business circles from Malaysia, who tightly cooperate with the government of their country in terms of transport infrastructure development in the state of Penang.
Malaysia as a whole is characterized by one of the highest rates of economic development in Asia. From 1957 to 2005, average yearly GDP growth was over 6%. After the Asian economic crisis, which began in 1997, the Malaysian economy recovered much faster than neighbouring countries. Lately, Penang became one of the most visited places in Asia, the epicenter of business-forums. Attractions are scattered around the whole island. Moreover, Penang is the third biggest trading center in Malaysia after Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, so it is not surprising that, despite good development, the state’s infrastructure can not keep up with the growing transport flows.
Along with tourism, the foundation of the state’s economy are high tech productions. The largest international electronic producers are based here: AMD, Intel, Motorola, Hitachi, Bosch, Osram, B. Braun and many others.
We bring to your attention the impressions of some members of the delegation from their trip to Belarus and negotiations held with CJSC “String technologies” management.
