#9 The one with a tilted whiteboard
Living & breathing tech right now!
There is a time for visions and conceptual conversations or ideas, and I love that stuff. BUT there's also a time for tech and gadgets, and that's exactly where I have been for the last month. Exploring gadgets and testing new solutions! It's a great place to be at, as you know 😉⭐. The result of this will be reflected on this month's update, but most likely also on the next update aswell.

💎 New products
⚡ Poly TC10
The new and very welcome 2-in-1 Poly TC10 has finally been released! This is a combined display for room scheduling and meeting control. It has a large 10.1 inch display that can be placed with different viewing angles on the table or mounted on the wall outside the room.

⚡ Portable monitor
I remember back in 2016 thinking that it would be pretty cool to have a portable external monitor that I can bring with me when I travel. I started googling and found one (not two) device, and it instantly became my best friend on travel and at home. For fun I did the same googling this evening and WOW has this category evolved! If you haven't tried this concept I really recommend you to 👌.

⚡ The monthly update
In the backlash of the massive number of news at Ignite, this month has been a little bit more calm when it comes to new features. There are two items that caough my interest: schedule chat messages and 1-click instant poll in meetings.

⚡ Show colleagues if you’re remote or in the office!
“Outlook will allow you to tell your colleagues whether you work in the office or remotely. This feature is being rolled out very soon as an early Christmas gift.”
This update came from Andreas Adolfsson , Teams tech superstar at Microsoft. Thank you Andreas!
⚡ New Teams certifications
Poly G7500. This is a long awaited certification of Polys modular system for Teams Rooms on Android. Read about it here.
💎 Hack of the month
⚡ Improving acoustics - with a whiteboard!
I love unexpected hacks, and this is definately one of those. I saw a post in my feed with the title "Can a whiteboard fix the acoustics the meeting room?" and I just had to check it out!
The author is Joakim Scholander adn the full post is here. Thank you for the hack Joakim!
The concept is simple, logical and genious: tilt the whiteboard slightly upwards. The effect? The sound will bounce up and away from the sound pickup. Logical right? The biggest issue with meeting room acoustics is the fact that sound bounces around on hard surfaces, creating this sound profile like you are sitting in a box. Combine this tip with some soft surfaces to absorb sound and you are GOOD TO GO. And hey. Buy a good audio device to 😉.
💎 Upcoming event
⚡ IsiCom (road)SHOW 2023
The work has just begun to create the next digital IsiCom (road)SHOW, and this one is going to be something extra. More focus on products, hacks, demos and fast paced interviews. We will also be covering ISE 2023 with a segment, and the show is aired one week after ISE, february 10th. Last year we had 18 people from 7 companies in 10 segments and in 60 minutes (if I remember it correctly). Let's see if we manage to break that record this year.
That's it for now!
