9 years on from graduating!

9 years on from graduating!

9 years ago today I sat my last exam at University, handed in my dissertation and officially finished my degree in Global Business and Marketing from Regent's University London

My twin sister

Since graduating, I have had a huge number of incredible experiences, some amazing learnings, some awful experiences and everything in-between!

Today I am sharing with you; 9 things I have learned, 9 things I have achieved, 9 things I haven’t achieved and 9 things I am going to achieve before 10 years of graduating.

9 Things I Have Learned:

  1. Goals are important, but habits are the MOST important.
  2. Burnout is REAL. Your mental health is everything.
  3. Communcation is so KEY.
  4. Networking is paramount to success, even if you hate it.
  5. Learning to take feedback will change your career forever.
  6. People can be assholes, you have to learn to deal with it.
  7. Things don’t always work out how you think; a 5 year plan is BS.
  8. If your values don’t align with your boss, quit.
  9. Say YES to every opportunity and figure it out as you go along.

9 Things I Have Achieved:

  1. Meeting my now husband Tom W. in my first job at Foxtons .
  2. Getting sober; despite working in sales.
  3. Becoming a Head of Department at the age of 24.
  4. Managing a direct team of 8, then 12 then 21.
  5. Starting a charity platform, raising over $100k in 18 months.
  6. Becoming a certified coach and NLP Master Practitioner.
  7. Launching my own business and podcast  in 2021.
  8. Invited as an expert coach on various platforms in my niche.
  9. Built an incredibly diverse CV, and worked with a number of HUGE house hold named clients.

9 Things I Haven't Achieved:

  1. The perfect work-life balance.
  2. Moving country.
  3. Becoming a board member.
  4. Learning when to fully switch off.
  5. Becoming a team member of a c-suite team.
  6. Becoming a millionaire.
  7. Receiving an award for my work.
  8. Hosting a big in person event.
  9. Becoming a working Mum.

9 Things I'm Going to Achieve Before I Hit 10 Years of graduating:

  1. Move country.
  2. Hit multi six figures in my business.
  3. Become proficient in Spanish.
  4. Launch a new business offering into a new market.
  5. Launch a free mentorship program.
  6. Attend more networking events.
  7. Achieve a better work-life balance.
  8. Start to invest my money into new areas.
  9. Complete another coaching accreditation.

One thing I can say with confidence, is that I am incredibly proud of myself.

I was the girl that hated school, that struggled despite my parents trying everything to get me to love it.

I found it hard to sit still in class. I was told ‘If I chatted a little less, and worked a little more, I could do well’.

I was the rebel child and teenager who hated any form of authority (I still do).

But I am so proud of the working woman I have become today, and this is just the beginning!
