9 Years of Sourcing Wizardry: Frontwise Group's Epic Quest in a World of Never-Ending Transformation
In the beginning:
Over the past few years, we have witnessed significant transformations in the field of recruitment. Not only have technology and AI influenced the sector but demographic factors and the Covid pandemic have also been instrumental in driving these changes.
In all honesty, the fact that I founded Frontwise Group nine years ago was a stroke of luck. We were quite an early bird for the sourcing-based recruitment game as nine years ago the "post & pray" methodology was dominating the industry. Being aware of this, we willingly decided that our methodology, at its core, would be an active, strategic, and personal approach to candidates. This put us in the driver's seat of the quality of our talent pipeline, which was not yet a common practice in the recruitment sector. What also gave us a jump start was the fact that we started operating remotely from our sourcing excellence center in Skopje and our Sales office in Amsterdam. We now have a successful recruitment delivery towards clients in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England, Ireland, and Sweden.
Trends:
Recently, we have clearly witnessed a few new trends. While in the beginning we had to create a market since organizations did not actively seek for the type of sourcing we offered. Nowadays sourcing-based recruitment is becoming the norm, in which we strive for leadership. Additionally, the Covid pandemic gave a boost to remote work, and since then, we’ve never been asked if remote work is possible. Not only that but, we see a trend coming from the field of technology, generative AI, and its significant strides that present a great opportunity for our sector to elevate quality and effectiveness. Sourcing within recruitment is becoming not only more strategic but more technical as well. With that said, the profession is evolving but it remains a question whether all professionals in this field can keep up with the new demands. The profile of a successful sourcer/recruiter is changing. We are witnessing the convergence of alpha and beta profiles in a new blend where analytical and technical skills are becoming increasingly important alongside communication skills judgment and curiosity.
The next 9 years:
For the next nine years, we anticipate taking our services to an even higher level. We plan to open multiple delivery centers and have more industry specializations among our sourcing-based recruiters to meet the bigger and greater specific demand from our clients.
On one hand, we foresee that due to ongoing demographic changes, unfortunately, talent shortages will persist. On the other hand, professionals in the job market will need to exhibit professional agility to remain relevant in an ever-changing world.
As for us, we will remain guiding companies and professionals in this agile world.
Having said this, we expect that the blend of technology and human expertise will become even more intertwined. The process aspects of recruitment will be further robotized, and our kind of sourcing will likely be the only way forward in the future. This will remain a crucial effort of human beings working hand in hand with technology rather than against it.
