Here’s some clean energy good news:
The Energy Observer, a French research vessel, showcases cutting-edge clean energy tech: solar panels, ocean wings for wind propulsion, and a hydrogen fuel cell powered by seawater electrolysis. It's a floating experiment in zero-emission maritime travel, recently docking in Manhattan. One of Energy Observer’s main goals has been to “develop and test different low-carbon technologies … to prove that this mix of renewable energy sources and storage is a way to accelerate the energy transition, both on land and at sea.

Ja-Chin Audrey Lee is the Senior Director of Energy Strategy at Microsoft, and she lives in California. She’s been in the industry for over a year.
Audrey went to school for applied physics and electrical engineering and wanted to have a more direct impact on society by working on sustainable ways to provide energy for our economy.
Now, Audrey works on impactful projects in various areas, including distributed resources. She says, “Investing in clean energy is investing in our future. Our economy is dependent on energy and future generations are dependent on energy being sustainable, renewable, plentiful, and clean.”
