They would then place the wax in the cracks and then paint over the faults and make it "appear" to be the real deal. Once the customer placed the pot in the oven, the wax melted. The client realized that their salesperson misrepresented the truth.

The professional Character Based Sales potters, started placing a sign that stated "Sine Cere", Latin for "Without Wax"
