ABSOLUTE FREEDOM IN CHRIST-!
“You have been Set Free from SIN and have become SLAVES to righteousness,” (Rom. 6:18)
It sounds a little strange that the Apostle Paul would call these Roman believers slaves in the same sentence that he said they were set free. Paul used the Greek word doulos: meaning a bond-servant or a "slave" of Christ, to describe this commitment to be used by God for righteous purposes. Paul even begins the book of Romans, by calling himself a slave to Christ Jesus (Rom. 1:1). He tells the Romans that they use to be slaves to sin, but NOW they have been Set FREE from all past, present, and future SIN. The Apostle Peter informs us that false teachers will tell us that Sin promises us freedom: “They promised freedom, but they themselves are slaves of Sin and corruption for you are a slave to whatever controls you,” (2 Pet. 2:19). Our wants become our needs and our desires become what our bodies demand. Sin promises freedom, but it brings only dependence that controls our minds and our bodies. Another word for this type of Mind Slavery is Addiction. Obsessive behaviors like lying, anger, video games, and even shopping, can all have physical effects on the body, just like addictions to alcohol, drugs, and sex can have chemical reactions that the body gets addicted to. As we struggle with these sins, our brains literally begin to rewire themselves so that it doesn’t just become a want, but a need and the body begins to become a slave to these needs and cravings.
The effects of this addictive slave-mindset are devastating to this day, as they were in Paul’s day. They continue to cause great suffering in both our conscious and unconscious minds. We all experience stress, disappointment, feel pain, and suffer at times. However, how we handle our suffering and pain determines what we will become addicted to. Negative addictions can and do provide a temporary illusion of escape and comfort for our emotions. They can provide momentary peace of mind, but they slowly eat us from the inside out and take over our life. If we remain stuck in a slave-mindset, the relentless effects of stress, tension, fatigue, anxiety, and depression will continue to torment and plague us. If, we’re not careful and we loose control, our addictions can not only steal our time and drain our wealth, but they can infect our relationships and ruin our health. They can also increase our pain and suffering, and leave us feeling hopeless, helpless, and worthless. Instead of finding peace, we will become lost to sin, sickness, disease, and early death. We must first understand that another word for addiction is Dependence, and that dependence is not a bad thing, because God created all of us to be dependent upon Him for our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
GOD CREATED US TO BE DEPENDENT BEINGS
The Bible tells us that God created man and woman to be dependent creatures. From the beginning, Adam and Eve were created to be dependent upon God for air (the breath of life or God’s Holy Spirt): “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being,” (Gen. 2:7). Thus becoming a “living (human) being” along with chronological age begin at birth, when we take our first breath, NOT at conception. At the end of life, when we say that a person has taken his last breath, everyone understands that he has died. Taking a breath or breathing in the Spirit of God then is both the Alpha - the beginning of life and the Omega - the end of life, and in between these two moments, we inhale and exhale to sustain the life that God has given us.
We are all dependent on God’s air (breath), water, and food (bread) to live. On average without air (oxygen), the human body can only survive for up to three (3) minutes; for water up to three (3) days; and for food up to three (3) weeks before the biological processes that power our cells begin to fail. Adam and Eve were dependent upon God for everything, and God provided for all their needs. So, we can see that humans are created to be dependent or addicted to God’s Holy Spirit to live. Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing,” (Jn. 15:5); “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life,” (Jn. 4:14); “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die,” (Jn. 6:47-50).
However, because we all have sinned, the punishment for our Sin is eternal death: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord,” (Rom. 6:23). Our sin totally separates us from God, because God requires sinless perfection and there is nothing we can possibly do to make ourselves perfectly sinless. Ultimately, humankind's total dependency upon God is our unquestioned need of a Savior! We all need a "Way of Salvation” - a savior so that we can be made Perfect and again be accepted by God. All those born once physically of Adam continue to rebel against being dependent upon God. If fact, they don’t want to be dependent upon anything, because most believe the lie that they can be their own god.
Many are told at Self-improvement seminars, and by therapists, and life coaches— that "you can make your own life." So, they continue to strive for self-sufficiency and autonomy (freedom). They start believing that they have the power to change their self-identity and to do whatever they want to do, and they don’t need God to do it. However, in rejecting God, they turn to other things to trust in and become dependent upon, and enslaved to. After a while their minds start to believe that they can NOT live without satisfying their addiction, because their bodies actually need it, to prevent the withdrawal symptoms. This is why those who struggle with addiction begin to feel beaten down and worn out, because they don’t have the power to fight the battle any longer. Slaves must heed the voice of their master, or if disobeyed, consequences follow (painful withdrawal symptoms). So, what is the Apostle Paul’s solution.
DEAD TO SIN ~ ALIVE IN CHRIST
“For as by the one man's disobedience (Adam) the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience (Jesus) the many will be made righteous,” (Rom. 5:19).
Paul tells us that because we were all born into Adam’s physical family line, we have inherited his sinful nature and God’s punishment that leads to certain spiritual death. However, because of Jesus’ one act of obedience (dying for the sins of the world), we can trade our judgment for forgiveness and our past, present, and future sins for Jesus’ Righteousness. Jesus offers us the opportunity to spiritually die with Him on the cross (to kill our old sinful nature) and be born-again (with a New forever sinless Holy Nature) into His master race as New Creatures in Christ with eternal life. How does this work?
Paul writes to the Roman believers, that in order for a slave to be truly free from slavery, the slave must first die. When a slave dies, he's finally freed from the master. Likewise, in order to be free from addiction, the addict must die. Paul gives us another similar illustration from marriage: “For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage,” (Rom. 7:2). Is Paul referring to our physical death? No. Paul said, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me,” (Gal .2:20). Paul was obviously physically alive, when he made this statement.
Paul further explains to us that the death of our Old Man (Sinful Nature) was through a spiritual circumcision: “In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead,” (Col. 2:10-12).
Paul continues to elaborate on our personal death in Christ, when we are born-again into the New Family Species of Christ: “Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been SET FREE FROM ALL (past, present, and future - SIN. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus,” (Rom. 6:3-11).
Paul tells us that we must reckon or count our Old sinful nature (Old Self) to be dead, and understand that dead men can no longer Sin. We must also know for a fact that when we were born-again, God recreated us to be perfectly Holy, Righteous, Sinless, and Blameless for all eternity as the NEW MAN: “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight,” (Eph. 1:4).
THE CROSS OF CHRIST JESUS ~ A Space-Time Wormhole - TIME MACHINE-!
“Now FAITH is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ANCIENTS were commended for,” (Heb. 11:1-2)
So, how is it possible for someone living on earth today, to be united with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection in 3 Ad. - to be Born-again. Well, the Apostle Paul gives us a whole list of people who lived way before Christ was born on earth, and they were saved “retroactively” by the cross of Christ without hearing about him. Retroactive means that something goes into effect as of a prior date (for example when you are charged fees for a service from the start of the month). Scientists tell us that a wormhole is like a tunnel between two distant points in our universe that cuts the travel time from one point to the other. Because wormholes represent shortcuts through space-time, they could even act like time machines.
Paul informs us that Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, David and others, are all considered heroes of faith, despite the fact that none of them ever heard the Gospel about Jesus. Jacob (Gen. 49:10), Moses (Deut. 18:15), and David (Ps. 22) prophesied about his coming, but had a very limited understanding of its meaning. Others like Rahab (Jos. 2:1-21; Heb. 11:31), Naaman the Syrian (2 Kgs. 5:1-19; Lk. 4:27), and Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses (Ex. 18), were also saved “retroactively by the cross of Christ Jesus, although they didn’t even belong to the people of Israel. They responded with faith to the small amount of revelation they had, and as a result God conferred on them retroactively the atoning sacrifice of Christ. God projected their Spiritual hearts into the future into body of Christ on the cross to kill their Old Man and resurrect their New Man.
Faith is the key element here. Religious knowledge does not save us, but God, saves us as we respond in faith to his revelation - no matter how limited it might be. Faith means trusting the promises of God and responding to him through effective action (Heb. 11:1-3). It is not a mere understanding of the doctrine of salvation. Salvation does not depend exclusively on how much knowledge one has about Jesus. If it did, the Bible would teach Gnosticism or salvation through attaining secret knowledge to be saved. God does not limit his grace to those who have enough knowledge or information about him. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you," (Gal. 3:8).
These “Heroes of Faith” are biblical examples proving that God can, did, and does save those who never heard about Jesus. Their salvation depended on: 1) their responsibility to respond to the amount of revelation given to them by God; and 2) God’s responsibility to retroactively confer Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross - on the basis of their faith. So what were some of these people asked to do, and how did they respond to God's call? Noah was warned about the imminent coming of the flood, and his response proved his faith in God’s promise to save him together with his family (Gen. 6:9). Abraham trusted God’s promise that he would be blessed with a son and become the ancestor of a great nation (Gen. 12:22; Heb. 11:8-19). God proclaimed him righteous because of his faith: "Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness" (Gen. 15:6). Isaac, Jacob and Joseph all trusted in God and were blessed. Moses trusted that God would free the Jewish nation from Egyptian bondage, and he lead them into the promised land (Heb. 11:20-22).

None of these people were declared righteous or Holy by God because of their personal good works. They were all saved by the grace of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, retroactively attributed to them by God, because of their faith in God’s promises and revealed messages to them. In other words, God imputed the sin of ALL believers to the account of Jesus Christ, who paid the penalty for that sin on the cross: “He (Jesus) is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world,” (1 Jn. 2:2). In addition, God imputed the righteousness of Christ to all those that believe in Jesus: “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe,” (Rom. 3:22). Now when God looks upon us, he cannot see our sin, because our Old Man is Dead. He can only see the righteousness of Jesus in our New Man created by God to be perfectly Holy and Righteous.
SPIRITUAL “DEATH” BAPTISM ~ A Circumcision Performed by Christ-!
We know that when Jesus was baptized in water by John the Baptist, that at that time he was also filled with the Holy Spirit: “As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a Dove and lighting on him,” (Mat. 3:16). However, after this Jesus tells us about another kind of Baptism. He responds to James and John’s question (if they can sit at the right and left side of Jesus in his glory), by stating that he will undergo another type of baptism. The baptism that Jesus referred to here (Mk. 10:38-39) was His death on the cross, and Jesus then promised James and John will also be baptized in Jesus’ death on the cross. Paul said, “Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life,” (Rom. 6:3-4).
Paul also taught that Baptism is a type of Christian circumcision in which the Old Man “sinful nature” is cut off or made powerless by Jesus: “In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole Self ruled by the flesh was PUT OFF when you were circumcised by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead,” (Col. 2:11-12). When we die and rise with Christ our sinful self has no power over us any longer. So, being baptized in water helps us to visualize, meditate, and experience the first step in the Holy Spirit’s Secret Operation of Regeneration “putting off the Old Man.”
From the first documented Baptism and Birth of the Early Church, and many other New Testament verses (Acts 8:12; 8:36-38; 9:17-18; 10:44-48; and 16:30-33, etc.), we can see that the Apostles practiced a specific Baptismal tradition passed down by Jesus who taught the following about Baptism: 1. You must first REPENT: Recognize that all have inherited Adam’s Sinful Nature and sin (The Old Man). Turn from sin by changing the direction of your life from selfishness and rebellion against God; 2. You must have FAITH: Turn to Jesus and depend on him for forgiveness, mercy, guidance, and purpose in your life; and ask Jesus to fill you with the Holy Spirit. 3. You must IMMEDIATELY be Submerged in WATER: Identify yourself with Jesus in his death, burial and resurrection as a sign of being filled with the Holy Spirit, and as a condition of discipleship to identify with the community of believers - His Church.
Baptism in the first three hundred years of the Early Church was commonly by total immersion in water (not sprinkling). When a believer’s body dropped into the water, and the water closed over his or her head, it was like being buried - with Christ (Their Old Self died). When they came out of the water, it was like rising from the grave with Jesus into a New Life (Their New Man resurrected with Christ). Baptism was like re-experiencing what God the Father in reality actually did to their Old Man. God crucified and buried their Old Self (Adam’s sinful nature) and resurrected them as a New Self (a Christ-like, divine nature). The New Man was created completely Holy, Righteous, and Sinless for all eternity (Eph. 4:24).
Biblical scholar, Leslie C. Allen describes it like this, “God transcends time and at conversion takes a man back in time to A.D. 33. When he (she) is incorporated into Christ on profession of faith, he is given a personal share in the great events of Christ’s work and transferred from his Old Existence to a New plane of life … Baptism by immersion is a dramatic Mime (the theatrical technique of suggesting action without words) of what God has done with a man … Our baptism was the outward evidence that God incorporated us believers into Christ (on the cross). Our being plunged into water means that God associated us with Christ in His death. Therefore we too died as far as SIN is concerned, moving out of and beyond the Old Era (of being slaves to sin) - (L. C. Allen, Romans, The International Bible Commentary, 1986).
Paul further confirms this, “For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our Old Self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by Sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to Sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him,” (Rom. 6:5-7). So, water baptism is just symbolic of what God already did when we put our complete faith and trust in Christ for our salvation (when we stopped doing anything to try to save ourselves). Once again, being baptized in water helps us to visualize, meditate, and experience the first step in the Holy Spirit’s Secret Operation of Regeneration “putting off the Old Man.”
Note: If you have never been Baptized, or want to be Baptized again, I would suggest doing it in an “Ice Cold” water plunge. Visualize yourself being Baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19). Cold Water plunging has shown the ability increase your baseline dopamine molecule in your brain and body that is linked to motivation. Being immersed in cold water stimulates leukocytes, the white blood cells that help fight off sicknesses. It also causes the lymphatic system to contract, forcing fluid through the lymph nodes. This process aids in detoxing the body and strengthening your immune system. If you don’t have access to a tub, stick your face in a sink full of ice water - to remind yourself of your Old Man’s dead body in-Christ. In addition, after your daily hot shower - turn on the Cold Water all the way to reckon or: “count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus,” (Rom. 6:11).
ABSOLUTE FREEDOM ~ Only in CHRIST JESUS
“Everything is permissible for me - but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible for me - but I will not be Mastered by anything,” (1 Cor. 6:12)
Paul informs us that freedom to enjoy all things that come from God without feeling sinful or guilty is a mark of the Christian faith: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery,” (Gal. 5:1). Jesus died to set us absolutely, totally (100%) free from ALL past, present, and future Sin. Jesus also set us totally free from ALL religious rules, traditional standards, and church obligations that put a burden of law keeping on Christians. As New Men and New Women in-Christ, we must stand against those religious leaders who would enslave us with their man-made church rules, methods, or special conditions for being saved, staying saved, and/ or growing in Christ. If you have been born-again in Christ Jesus, then you are the NEW MAN (WO-man) that has been recreated by God to be perfectly Holy and Righteous forever in God’s eyes. Paul tells us to “to put on the NEW SELF (New Man), created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness,” (Eph. 4:24). Your New Man was resurrected with Christ (when you first gave your heart to Jesus), and he now lives with Christ in heaven: “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,” (Eph. 2:6). Your New Man (Spirit) has been separated by Jesus, from your Old Mind (Soul) and your Old Body that still resides on earth. Only the living Word of God who is Jesus, is able to separate your Spirit from your Soul (Mind) and Body (Jn. 1:1; Heb. 4:12).
Therefore, since your Old Self has died with Christ (Rom. 6:3-11) and can no longer Sin (because dead men cannot Sin), and your New Self has been recreated by God to be sinless forever - it is now impossible for you (the real you) your Spiritual Heart that lives in heaven - to ever Sin again: “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God,” (1 Jn. 3:9). This sounds like the real GOOD NEWS gospel, that Jesus’ Apostles, disciples, and the hundreds of thousands of followers of Christ throughout history were willing to be beaten, tortured, and killed for. But, is it really true? Well, the Apostle Paul confirms this two (2) times in the Book of Romans, when he discusses his struggle with Sin: “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, IT IS NO LONGER I MYSELF WHO DO IT, but it is sin living in me. For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, IT IS NO LONGER I MYSELF WHO DO IT, but it is sin living in me that does it,” (Rom. 7:15-20). Paul repeatedly tells us that HE is Not Sinning anymore, but it is Sin living in his flesh - his physical body. What does this mean? Paul clarifies, “but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me,” (Rom. 7:23). Paul tells us that his flesh (body) was reacting to the Sin in his un-renewed Mind, that was previously programmed by his Old Man (Sinful Nature). But since He is the New sinless Holy Man (not his Old Mind or Body), he was not doing the sinning.
PUTTING-ON THE NEW MAN ~ Allows you to freely love God (without fearing Hell)
“Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels,” (Matt. 25:41)
If the real you, your New Man’s Spiritual Heart has been recreated as a Sinless and perfectly Holy and Righteous NEW MAN - that GOD created - then the real you can never sin again: “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God,” (1 Jn. 3:8-9). So, only when you choose to Put-On the New Man, can you experience 100% total freedom - in-Christ to love God freely without feeling any guilt or having any fear of going to hell. Jesus said, Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels, (Mt. 25:41) who are immortal beings (not mortal humans). Only Satan, the beast, the false prophet, death, hades, and the demons will be tormented day and night forever and ever, because they are immortal beings (Rev. 20:10-14). Jesus did not erase the doctrine of hell. The Bible describes hell as a real place of eternal torment for “the devil and his angels,” (not for humans). Hell is the final destination for every unregenerate (unborn-again) human soul to be destroyed (Mt. 10:28).
If you are trying to improve the Old Man enough to be accepted by God, then you will go to hell, because you will never be perfect enough to meet God’s Holy Standard of sinless perfection. If you have not been born-again into a New Man, then you may be trying to make your Old Man more holy by following a law of religious works to save yourself: “but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death (Rom. 7:23-24)? Jesus said, “no one can see the Kingdom of Heaven unless they are born again,” (Jn. 3:3). The unrepentant (mortal) human sinner will be eternally punished (Mt. 25:46) - by being instantly destroyed in the lake of fire and ceasing to eternally exist apart from God’s Love for all eternity.
The punishment (destruction) is everlasting - Not the punishing (see: All You ever Wanted to Know about Hell p. 130, S. Gregg). Paul informs us that there is no condemnation in-Christ for those who have been united with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, because they believe in Jesus and continue to follow the Holy Spirit. Those that Put-On the New Man are not subject to God's wrath or judgment for their sins, because Christ has taken the punishment for sins and has given his righteousness to believers. The New Men are set free from the law of sin and death and are secure in Christ: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” (Rom. 8:1). So, if you practice Putting-On the New Man, and become dependent and addicted to the Holy Spirit, then you can love God freely - without ever fearing Hell.
HOLY GHOST ADDICTS
Addicts may be closer to GOD - then we think-! Why? Because ADDICTION or dependence - is the ONLY WAY to GOD - that is dependence on the Holy Spirit. This may be hard to swallow. The Apostle Paul tells us that, many carnal (unspiritual baby) Christians are still drinking babies milk, and cannot eat the meat of the Holy Spirit, because they have never fully surrendered to the Holy Spirit - to BE filled with the Holy Spirit - to walk with the Holy Spirit: “I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready,” (1 Cor. 3:2). Remember, what you need to do - to worship GOD in the Spirit on Mt. Zion. You need to PUT-OFF the Old Man, (separate yourself from your Body and Mind), Be renewed in the Spirit of your Mind, and PUT-ON the New Man - that GOD created to be perfectly Holy and Righteous (Eph. 4:22-24). Addicts that are addicted to alcohol, drugs, and other things (food, sex, gambling, etc.), have found a WAY to separate themselves from their Bodies and their Minds - to experience BEING ONLY in their Spirit (but influenced by the wrong spirit). So, it may be easier for them to Put-Off their worldly addictions and to PUT-ON their Heavenly Addiction to the Holy Spirit. The opposite may also be true. Those people who have never been dependent on anything, have never found a WAY to separate themselves from their Bodies and their Minds. So, it may be harder for them to give up their worldly addiction to their earthly Minds and Bodies - to fully surrender (100%) to BE possessed by the Holy Spirit. No One can freely choose to love God, unless they have taken a jump in faith and chosen to experience total (100%) freedom in-Christ Jesus. If you have truly given your life to die with Christ, and have stopped trying to save yourself - then the real you (your heart and Spirit) has been recreated as a Sinless and perfectly Holy and Righteous NEW MAN. Then the Old you, your Old Man is truly dead, and can never Sin again, and the real you (that God recreated) your Spiritual Heart can never sin again. (The one reborn of God can never sin. He that sins is born of the devil - 1 Jn. 3:9).
