Accountability matters
Nothing gets done without a deadline so I've started a new category of monthly calls within the Espresso+ community, called Sales & Accountability.
On these Zoom calls, our small business owners share the sales approaches that are working for them (non-douche canoe methods only) and they commit to tasks to work on over the coming month.
We hold each other accountable, and I set reminders to follow up with each person.
The best part is that I get to visit my destructive vengeance on anyone who misses a deadline, with a side order of chaos for those who have only a weak grasp on sarcasm.
(OK, I joke … but I was once in an accountability group where people were far too nice. Nothing got done – a waste of everyone's time.)

Not all Espressians can make our live calls, so everything is recorded, captioned and transcribed, and there are video and audio versions of the content – so we're really covering all the bases.

How do YOU stay accountable?
Wherever your safe space is online, find some people to help you stay accountable on the tasks that will move your business forward.
You don't need a paid community to do this but you do need at least one other person you can trust who will actually hold you to account.

1yI would even go further and say accountability is so important that it’s almost everything. Things get done if you have an accountability partner. You can find most of the stuff that career coaches talk about online, but the holding yourself accountable for your goals is what makes you thrive and gets results. We don’t have to do everything alone.
