I started building these about 5 years ago, and finally got a chance to use them on a job in Ft. Lauderdale last week. The attach to the EAW JF60/80 speakers with double sided tape, and gaff tape. They are made of fiberglass, and filled with expanding flotation foam.
What they do; Spread the sound wider and taller, so that they cover a larger area.
Placing the speakers in front of the participants gives a better outcome compared to ceiling speakers, or worse yet, speakers on stands, pointing IN towards the microphones.
