The Acquire Evolution
This week, we hit the ground running at Dreamforce! We are hosting multiple events across SOMA for three days. Hike2, a new client of ours, brought us on board to run their ‘Lodge,’ which will include Educational Sessions, Bites & Insights, and ‘Taste of San Francisco’ themed happy hours. They’ve added a thought leadership portion to the breakfast and lunch services to draw people in while giving them a profound takeaway. We’ve also secured some really high-end whiskies, including Old Rip Van Winkle 10-year for a VIP whiskey tasting. The idea here is to offer a carrot to entice people in to taste something really spectacular. We also have Blanton’s, Weller & E.H. Taylor in the lineup, all tools we use to give guests a really memorable experience. We will host a VIP wine tasting as well, led by yours truly, showcasing some of my favorite gems from Napa Valley and beyond. This three-day event is ripe with hospitality and is such a great encapsulation of what we DO.
I am also thrilled to be hosting one of our favorite groups: Modern Sales Pros at 2 Michelin Star Birdsong for a networking event that will feature a wine tasting paired with passed canapés. Acquire, as most of you know, was born in March of 2020 as a virtual events company. MSP was our first virtual event customer and is a relationship I am so profoundly grateful for. The referrals that came from those ‘Winedowns’ were the engine that turned Acquire into a real company, cranking out virtual events solely for over two years. It is also where we met so many of you.

Our jam-packed schedule means something personal to me: we will be meeting many of you in person, some for the first time. We spent a lot of time getting to know you virtually. We met your pets your partners and your kids. We got to really see you, without your work mask. It was not an easy time, but I believe that shared vulnerability is what allowed us to connect on a deeper level and in a richer way. I am grateful for that snapshot in time because it was the stepping stone that brought us where we are today. I will always espouse the glories of virtual events, and we will continue to use them as a tool for connection, but I am proud to say that we have evolved.
