Will AI leave HR candidates out of job?

For a long time, there has been intensive talk about the future impact of artificial intelligence on the reduction of employees in all sectors.

And while some are afraid, others think that the idea is completely unrealistic and that something like that cannot happen in the near future, and some see an opportunity for themselves in this whole situation.

We already have an expansion of various AI tools in all possible areas of business that can greatly facilitate life and work.

In this text, we will not deal with the problem of defining the differences between machine learning and artificial intelligence, instead we will pay attention exclusively to the effects of the use of various tools that are classified as AI tools, on the labor market, with special reference to the human resources sector.

Over the past few months, I've been testing several different tools, and it's an understatement to say that I'm thrilled with the possibilities and ease of their use.

AI's role in enhancing recruitment efficiency

Imagine if, for the first time, you could prevent 49% of candidates from rejecting your job offer just because of negative experiences related to the selection process, as shown by the PwC's research.

My personal experience pretty much matches this when it comes to the selection process in large companies.

Due to the endlessly long processes, the best candidates get other offers in the meantime, and even those who don't get it, and believe that they will easily find a job at some point, send a message that it is not nice and pleasant to read at all, in which they explain that they don't want to continue the process in which they don't they feel respected.

And no one has the right to blame them for that.

Here, the negative reputation, unfortunately, often falls on an external agency or recruiter who can hardly influence the process itself.

According to Modern Hire's fifth annual recruitment report, 45% of companies worldwide are using AI technologies to improve HR and recruitment processes.

It has been shown that traditional selection processes take too long, are not efficient and candidates leave them extremely dissatisfied and frustrated.

What artificial intelligence offers in this case is a completely new "level of intelligent interviewing that uses information and candidate feedback to constantly learn, improve and evolve," according to a study by Modern Hire.

4 things that a smart interviewer must embrace

  1. Using science, analytics and artificial intelligence for greater automation, insight and reduced bias;
  2. Clarity, accessibility, transparency and, believe it or not, humanity in the candidate's experience (details on this topic in the next article);
  3. Access to candidates on a global level and support to international markets;
  4. Seamless workflows and extreme ease of use.

In international companies, artificial intelligence and machine learning, which include simulation, are already in use for the purpose of predicting employee retention based on matching their skills, knowledge and expectations with job requirements and working conditions.

And we know that the fluctuation and departure of qualified candidates is one of the most expensive mistakes that a company should not allow itself.

AI also includes analytics to understand your company's current market position for hiring and promotion.

Artificial intelligence supports and enhances the work of companies from writing ads, searching to onboarding and retaining the best talents, all the way to complex analytics that save incredible amounts of time.

Although these technologies are still in their infancy, companies that have already implemented them are recording fantastic results.

One of the Fortune 50 companies saved 22,000!!!! hours of recruitment time and also improved results when it comes to high-volume hiring.

With the help of new tools, 95% of candidates confirmed that they are easy to use and that their interest in the job is higher with such processes.

Will AI leave HR professionals out of a job?

After all this, it is necessary to answer the questions of the title: will AI put people out of work?

The answer is not easy, and it depends on you.

It will leave some without work, for some it will increase the volume of work.

And that depends solely on you, your desire to become friends with new technologies on time and the speed of your reaction.

The time to embrace AI tools is right now, not to say yesterday!

Now, for the first time in history, companies are able to realize their dream of increasing productivity and reducing costs at the same time.

For the first time, it is possible for individuals to start their own freelance business and work independently, as if they had a whole team of people behind them.

Imagine a company that has 5 recruiters, who are paid 700-1200 EUR each (salary range in Serbia) and where the requirements are: university degree, 3+ years of experience in IT recruitment, additional courses and education, English language minimum B1, preferably knowledge of other languages and knowledge of several different tools.

Well, dear employers, someone who owns all that and is ready to work for the specified amount is not a person who will be ready to bite the bullet, be creative, enterprising and work 7.5 out of 8 working hours actively, because with that money they cannot have a decent life, so they have no desire to work decently either.

Someone who agrees to that amount with all the necessary qualifications will either expect it to at least double in the next year, or will leave within 6 months to a year, or simply want a comfort zone that includes 2-4 hours of active work, whining how there is too much to do, while drinking coffee and shifting responsibility to colleagues and looking for excuses, very good excuses, why the work was not done.

Now, for the first time, it is possible instead of 5 people to pay one superstar 2500 - 3000 EUR and several AI tools that cost a few hundred EUR on a monthly basis and get the efficiency of a TOP team of 5-10 employees that individually cost a minimum of 1500 EUR.

Also, anyone who at this moment wants to become independent and earn amounts that they cannot even dream of in a corporation, not even on the C-level positions, can start their own business and invest only a few hundred euros per month in excellent tools that exist on the market and cover fields from marketing, sales, recruitment, administration, business development in all segments and work independently as if they have a top team behind them.

You just need to enter this race on time.

Because companies that do not jump on the train in time will face much less popularity among employees and incomparably higher costs.

The following article will present specific tools, their effects on your business and the approximate impact on business costs.

Until then, get ready to hop on the train on time.
