AI-Powered Sales: How to Use AI for Scaling Your Business

AI-Powered Sales: How to Use AI for Scaling Your Business

Hello everyone,

How are you all doing on this fine Wednesday?

Every day when I’m browsing LinkedIn or reading about what’s been happening in the business world, I come across countless posts on how to grow your business.

Some are stating the obvious, some are giving tips & tricks to skyrocketing your business, and some are providing genuine advice that can help you build a successful business in the long run.

Even though these articles are written by entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and executives, all with varying levels of experience, they have one thing in common, utilizing AI.

AI was introduced in the sales and marketing world as chatbots. These automated bots were designed to engage customers without needing human intervention.

However, as AI became more advanced, so did its uses. In a 2019 study, it was discovered that around 63% of businesses, who started using AI for lowering expenses and managing resources, saw a boost in their bottom line and a better ROI.

Today, businesses of all sizes are using AI in one way or another to streamline their processes. And being the founder of Zixflow, an AI-powered marketing and XCRM solution, we have been helping businesses hit their sales targets and drive growth.

Now, a question might arise, “How to leverage AI to get more sales and grow your business?”

Before I dive into that, we first need to understand that sales, as a process, consists of multiple aspects.

You don’t simply sell to your customers without any pre-sales engagement or retain customers without delivering post-sale satisfaction. Plus, there are many moving parts in the middle of the stages where you can use AI to streamline your customer journey.

That being said, let’s look at how you can implement AI across the stages of your sales funnel to effectively engage your leads and compel them to make a buying decision.

Automate nurturing and engagement

The beginning of any sale starts with the initial contact. After all, in most cases, customers will not make a purchase without researching a product.

So to ensure a successful conversion of a lead entering your sales pipeline, you have to actively nurture them throughout the customer journey with various kinds of content, facilitating them to make an informed decision.

However, keeping track of every lead individually and which stage they are in is a tedious process, one that requires an extensive amount of time and effort.

AI can help you autopilot your nurturing by sending automated messages and emails that are packed with helpful information. With the help of sales cadences, you can automatically engage your leads and send follow-ups to your initial conversations.

This allows you to keep your business in the back of their minds so if they ever decide to buy something, your website is the first place they check out.

Eliminate boring and repetitive tasks

The sole purpose of why AI was designed is to take care of things we don’t want to do. So, it doesn’t make sense to not use it like that.

Business processes like contact management, booking meetings, and writing email copies are the tasks that not only require time but also effort. And due to their repetitive nature, nobody enjoys doing them as well.

This is where AI comes in. By using modern AI tools, you can automate these redundant tasks and increase overall sales efficiency. These solutions allow you to keep an eye on your operations and notify you immediately if a project or lead is stuck for an unusual amount of time.

Not just that. By leveraging ML and data analysis, you can tweak the AI to be much more efficient at doing the same tasks, thereby reducing the likelihood of errors.

Enhance your marketing efforts

Marketing is a critical aspect of any sales process. After all, your customers can only buy from you if they are aware of your presence. And once again, AI can allow you to achieve just that.

At its core, personalized marketing campaigns rely on the past behavior and buying habits of your customers. With AI, you can examine these factors on a granular level. For example, AI marketing tools can help you collect customers’ previous experiences, how they interacted with your business, and what they did after visiting your website.

All this data, paired together, will give a complete picture of your audiences’ needs, allowing you to tailor your marketing efforts to drive sales and boost ROI. This way, you can implement various outbound sales strategies to reach out to previously untapped audiences.

In addition to that, AI enables you to use deep data analysis to retarget customers with highly relevant ads. Once a customer browses your website and leaves, you can target them with tailored ads by evaluating their browning behavior using AI. These retargeting ads are a must-have if you have an ecommerce business.

Furthermore, your sales staff can benefit from these AI-powered insights to focus on qualified leads. This way, you have a lower chance of losing a valuable prospect.

Optimize customer service and boost retention rates

Providing quality customer service is a cornerstone of building a solid brand. Your customers want more than just to buy your product or service. They want you to make each purchase a unique experience.

AI allows you to meet these expectations. Using machine learning algorithms, AI tools can help you streamline your customer service and always stay connected with your customers 24/7. For example, AI-powered chatbots are a great way to not only engage your customers but also address any questions they may have.

These chatbots deliver real-time solutions to your customers’ issues, pointing in the right direction. On top of that, by analyzing behavioral data cues, chatbots can recommend tailored products or services that best fit their needs, leading to a higher conversion rate and increasing your chances of getting repeat purchases.

At Zixflow, we have taken this a step further by helping users on WhatsApp, where they can chat with the AI on the go. This has led to more qualified leads and quicker resolutions for support inquiries.

Make data-driven decisions

The aspect that differentiates a successful business from an average one is decisions. Correct decisions made at the right time can increase or decrease the efficiency of your sales processes.

That’s why, when it comes to improving your sales initiatives, it’s important to make fully informed decisions based on actual numbers leaving no room for guesswork.

AI, with its amazing ability to evaluate large quantities of data, allows you to see the holistic picture of your entire sales process and how you can further optimize it. Additionally, by analyzing historical data, AI software can discover patterns and forecast trends, giving you valuable information about your future sales performance.

Now, you might ask, “Prem, throughout the newsletter you talked about AI tools but you didn’t mention a specific one?”
