Join the global laboratory medicine annual event and don’t forget to visit us at Booth #2372 at the 2024 ADLM Clinical Lab Expo in Chicago, IL from July 28th to August 1st.

We always look forward to attending the event and recommending great sessions to our followers! The session “Next Generation Materials for Blood Plasma Generation In Point of Care Logistics” is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31st from 12:30 to 12:50 p.m. in Theater #2. This session discusses the high frequency and critical role of blood tests in the U.S., where they are performed 2 billion times each year and influence 80% of medical decisions in hospitals and primary care. Presenter Stefan Sproll, VP of the Center of Excellence at Membranes Technologies, will highlight the advanced materials used for blood plasma generation and separation, emphasizing what is crucial for achieving accuracy in blood test diagnostics.

The sessionOvercoming In Vitro Diagnostic Development Barriers with GenScript’s Cutting-Edge Solutions” is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30th from 12:30-12:50 p.m. in Theater #2. Amanda Grimm, Sr. Segment Marketing Manager will share a case study in the development of COVID-19 diagnostic tests, as well as showcase GenScript USA Inc’s products and services to support every stage of assay development.

Akuratemp will exhibit some of our innovative solutions for healthcare temperature security at Booth #2372. Learn about what we will be showcasing at the event:

Akuratemp’s Technology Advantage lies in the development of custom-designed thermal packaging that utilizes “PCM within PUF approach” with an “optimal weight to volume ratio.” This approach delivers reliable, reusable, and economical temperature-controlled solutions. The integration of an IoT-enabled track and monitoring system ensures end-to-end traceability for closed-loop delivery models. This year, we will be presenting two product categories aimed at ensuring sustainable temperature security within healthcare cold chains.

Akuratemp’s Domestic Parcel Shipper: At-home sample collection kits, clinical trial samples collected at physicians' offices, patient-specific therapies, assays, control, reagents, etc are temperature-sensitive biologics being transported overnight through courier services. Akuratemp’s range of Domestic Parcel Shippers is designed for reliable and reusable performance for maintaining a sustainable cold chain. Akuraratemp’s Domestic Parcel Shipper is a superior alternative to other standard packaging products and provides:

  • Temperature security for a wide range of applications including Frozen (below -20ºC & 0ºC ), Refrigerated (+2ºC to +8ºC), and CRT (+15ºC to +25ºC)
  • Pre-validated systems adhering to ISTA7D & 7E standards
  • Universal pack-out design utilizing sustainable & multi-use Phase Change Materials
  • Range designed for maintaining optimal parcel shipper inventory with interchangeable PCM Packs.
  • IoT-enabled temperature monitoring, smart excursion notification ability with capability for geo-location-based asset management for establishing end-to-end cold chain & chain-of-custody traceability.

Akuratemp’s Smart Medical Courier Tote offers integrated value for medical courier organizations and independent medical couriers. Reliably transporting biological samples and medications, the Smart Medical Courier Tote maintains Frozen, Refrigerated, and Controlled Room Temperature temperatures ensuring end-to-end visibility of the cold chain assets. The multi-use MCT utilizes PCM technology for temperature control, eliminating the need for dry ice when transporting frozen samples. These MCTs undergo testing under an extreme temperature profile that stimulates a 10-hour courier transit route, with a tote opening every 15 minutes for sample drops.

Akuratemp’s “Track & Monitor” platform provides medical courier organizations the capability to digitize each asset involved in its supply chain across multiple locations for end-to-end visibility of cold chain assets. At an operational level, the organization can:

  • Monitor temperature 24/7 within fixed refrigeration assets used to condition PCM Packs for Medical Courier Totes.
  • Create an inventory of each courier tote, along with its acceptable temperature profile, and assign it to a trip on a designated vehicle.
  • Monitor the temperature and location of the courier vehicle using an Akuratemp 4G device. This is important because the temperature inside the vehicle can exceed the ambient temperature, potentially compromising the integrity of biological samples.
  • Manage temperature conformance of the operation from a single cloud-based platform and send notifications to each courier vehicle operator through iOS and Android-based mobile apps.

Akuratemp’s “Track & Monitor” system features an elaborate User Management Module for the administration of user roles and a Consignment Management Module for creating temperature profiles.
