THE Alliance adjusting Transpacific service due to port congestion

Due to continued port congestion in North America’s northwest coast, THE Alliance is adjusting its Transpacific services with port adjustments effective from August. The Pacific North Loop 2 (PN2) service, starting sailing from Singapore, will skip the port of Vancouver in Canada and add a call at the port of Shanghai in China. PN3 and PN4 services will provide alternatives for cargo planning to and from Vancouver.

The temporary addition of Shanghai is aimed at expanding connectivity options in Asia through the PN2, PN3, and PN4 services, according to Hapag-Lloyd, a member of THE Alliance.Pacific North Loop 3 (PN3), starting sailing from Hong Kong, will have no vessel calls at the port of Tacoma in the United States. The alliance's customers will have the option of routing their cargo from Tacoma via PN2 and PN4 services.

Westbound calls to Tokyo and Kobe in Japan will be transferred from the PN2 to the PN3 service.

THE Alliance comprises Hapag-Lloyd, Ocean Network Express (ONE), Yang Ming Line, And HMM
