Alloy’s Roadmap to Solving Women’s Pain and Sparking Joy

A word from our co-Founders Anne Fulenwider and Monica Molenaar…

In the United States, approximately 1.3 million women enter menopause each year, yet most are suffering in silence, with less than 2% of women receiving the treatment and care they need. In fact, a recent survey showed that a majority of our own customers waited over three years before seeking relief. And some, like Monica, waited five years, and saw over five doctors, before getting the relief they were seeking. At Alloy, we are on a mission to make all women feel seen and heard while providing them with the education, expertise, solutions, and community they need to thrive. Instead of waiting three to five years to receive care, at Alloy, women receive treatment plans within days. No woman should ever have to wait to feel her best during perimenopause, menopause and beyond.

November 2024 not only marks our three-year anniversary, but also the closing of our recent $16 million Series A round.

We’re thankful to our investors, Kairos HQ, PACE Healthcare Capital, Emmeline Ventures, and Amboy Street Ventures, who understand our vision and the importance of the work we are doing. This funding enables us to expand our offerings and services so that we can continue to provide all women nationwide with information they can trust, expert care they need, and solutions that really work.

Closing this round marks another milestone of many we’ve accomplished over the past year.

• After less than three years, we successfully reached profitability.

• We have grown our customer base more than 300% year over year, and have helped tens of thousands of women coast to coast find relief from perimenopause and menopause symptoms through our science-backed solutions. And we’re just getting started. We welcome new customers daily and provide them with treatments, ongoing care from their doctor, and regular online support groups, where no question is off limits. 

• We released pioneering results from an independent, double-blind, three-armed, placebo-controlled study we commissioned on our M4 Estriol Face Cream, which demonstrated statistically significant improvements in both skin appearance and health, with no reported adverse effects or increased levels of estrogen in the bloodstream.

• We partnered with Tiny Miracles to support menopausal women in vulnerable communities in Mumbai, India. This collaboration not only offered transformative income, education, and healthcare opportunities for these women and their families, but also created a safe environment to share their menopausal experiences, challenge stigmas, and access mental health support.

• And, we continued to add to a world-class, diverse team of doctors who provide expert menopause care, personalized treatment plans, and unlimited, ongoing messaging to Alloy members so they can get the solutions they need without ever having to leave home.

None of this would be possible without our dedicated team of colleagues, doctors and loyal community. Their passion, commitment, and trust is the driving force behind the work we do to shape the future of women’s healthcare for the better.
