ALTEN Switzerland runs to fight cancer
At the beginning of the year, ALTEN set a goal: to run 100km across Europe to support 10 charitable causes. It is our first international-scale sports event: the ALTEN 100KM Challenge! From cancer research to inequality, and much more, our ALTEN team has come together to run 10 races in 2024.
Lausanne 10Km
Every spring, the longstanding tradition comes alive as a multitude of participants converge to partake in the renowned Lausanne 20km and 10km races. This year, a staggering 30,685 runners embraced the challenge on a Sunday morning. Commencing at the iconic Pierre de Coubertin stadium, the route meanders alongside the picturesque lake and through the heart of the city.
Our runners
On April 21st, our team of ALTEN runners from the Romandy region braved the rain, running together with courage and camaraderie. Their unwavering team spirit, motivation, and solidarity shone through in their support of our charitable cause. They immortalized this memorable occasion with pre- and post-run photographs.
Running alongside my ALTEN colleagues in the 100KM event was a fantastic experience, especially as we were supporting the Ligue Suisse Contre le Cancer for a charitable cause.

Ligue Suisse contre le Cancer
The Ligue Suisse contre le Cancer ( Krebsliga Schweiz ), or the Swiss Cancer League, is a national organisation that advises, supports and informs those affected by cancer. The League is committed to cancer prevention and screening, the promotion of industry-independent scientific research and support for cancer patients and their families. ALTEN Switzerland will be supporting the Swiss Cancer League while running their 10 solidarity kilometres, all to contribute to cancer striking less often, causing less suffering, finding new cures, and providing the needed comfort to the patients and families affected.
ALTEN 100KM Challenge
The challenge, organised by the ALTEN Communication team, was kicked off in March 2024, with the Just the Woman I Am 5km race in Turin, and today, we have achieved 75 kilometres. By October, the challenge will be accomplished with our very last race: the Pink Parade in Milan.
We want to thank all our runners for participating and contributing to important causes!
