Alumni Communities.
As a former employee of PwC México , I immediately joined the alumni community. I have always felt a special bond with my first job, although I certainly feel a bond with all the companies I have worked for, and even more with the people I have met in each place.
Recently, I have seen other alumni communities form at other companies and some schools, which gives me great pleasure.
Companies and institutions have a valuable asset in their alumni. They are ambassadors of the brand and/or its shield, they are proud of the shirt they once wore or of their alma mater from which they graduated.
People naturally grow, evolve, take on important positions in other places, in other companies, associations, groups, governments, etc., which makes them excellent points of contact.
I hope the current communities will find a way to keep their alumni together and in touch, with an annual event and some other online activities. It would also be ideal for other companies and institutions to follow this model or adopt a similar one that allows them to keep the connection alive.

We are all alumni of all the places we have been: schools, companies, jobs, teams, sports, etc.
What I have not seen and what I think could be just as powerful is that companies are doing it, I think they are missing an important opportunity to have brand ambassadors, points of contact and even business opportunities, certainly organizing an alumni network must have a cost, more so if you accompany it with a face to face event, I have no doubt that the benefits can outweigh any cost.
I hope other people will share their experiences as alumni, we all have something that keeps a link with what we were in the past, a group of friends who continue to see each other from time to time or at least maintain a WhatsApp group where they have daily communication to share anything, the point is to stay in touch.
As always, your comments are always welcome.
Have a great Alumni Week!
