Anatoly Yunitskiy on the SkyWay technology: from an idea to implementation

In April of 2019, presentation of the new edition of Anatoly Yunitskiy’s monograph, “String transport system: on Earth and in space” was presented in Russian and English languages. The work gathered results of research in the transport sphere, reached by the author after decades of work on the project.

The book provides a detailed foundation and calculations of the concept of the unique astroengineering vehicle, capable of putting millions of tons of useful cargo on the near Earth orbit per flight, as well as fundamental functioning principles of transport systems known as SkyWay today.

Currently, Yunitskiy’s string transport has finally moved on from the purely theoretical to the practical sphere: apart from the existing industrial prototypes of the innovative transport, a construction school has been created, pilot production has been organized, and the SkyWay developer-company has reached serious agreements at the international level.
