They may be small, but they’re big on personality.

The reason why they weigh so little is that they are the world’s smallest fox.

Our dog doesn't really like swimming, but he likes to hang out in the lake and float. He's a very good buoy

Deeply rooted in Thai culture, elephant training has traditionally been a familial heritage passed down through the generations. A mahout, one who ‘drives’ an elephant, is typically young when he is entrusted with an adolescent elephant.

As part of the daily routine mahouts bring their elephants to bathe in the river. The pair sleep 20 feet from each other at night. They will remain together throughout the elephant’s lifespan of around 70 years of age.

🐱 The Story of Bink - our cat’s rescue

While Erin was checking in on a patient who needed surgery and long-stay rehabilitation, the patient expressed his concern about his cat. He had no one in his life who could care for his four-legged family member. Erin, a cat lover, selflessly volunteered to drive 40 minutes out of her way to pick up the patient's cat from their home. 

Her act of kindness was so remarkable that she received a FACES award, recognizing her for embodying the company's culture (FACES: Friendly, Available, Caring, Efficient, and Safe).

🐱 The cat, initially weighing 22 pounds and withdrawn, transformed under Erin's care. Bink went from being non-communicative and disinterested to a lively and interactive 13-pound fur ball who loves to talk, play, and cuddle.

Tips for cat’s weight loss

Check the thyroid first 

1. High-quality weight management food. I used the Purina Pro plan weight management dry food, chicken, and rice, so chose what they enjoyed eating. (Some cats are allergic to chicken)
2. Feed twice per day, and MEASURE the food. No free feeding (keeping the bowl full). The bag will say how much to feed in a day per weight. If giving wet food as well, give slightly less dry food. 
3. Weigh them every month to six weeks. It took Bink from Feb 2020 to Oct 23 to lose almost 9lbs. That's a whole cat.

Notes: Weight loss should be slow because it effects their liver - they NEED to be eating every meal, just the right food and the right amount.
