ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE APSA BOARD

The Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) held its Annual General Meeting today, 3 August 2023 - minutes will be disseminated to APSA members next week, in the interim please refer to the below media release announcing the board formation.

MEDIA RELEASE

The Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) completed its 33rd Annual General Meeting today electing its new board.  

Olga Harriton, Global Logistics Manager at the Manildra Group, was re-elected as the association’s Chair. 

Peter Morgan, former CEO of Australian Council for Wool Exporters and Processors, stepped down from the committee as a part of his transition to retirement “We thank Peter for his valuable contribution and are grateful to otherwise have stability with the returning committee plus the addition of experienced supply chain specialists, Michael Brittain and Mark Christmas”. 

The AGM focussed on key operational issues facing Australian exporters and the need to achieve positive outcomes on emerging reforms, both locally and internationally. 

“We look forward to a constructive dialogue with the Federal Government, key stakeholders across commerce and expanding our involvement in both Asian and broader global advocacy activities.” Olga said

Below is the APSA board and committee of management as elected 3 August 2023:

  1. Chair: Olga Harriton (Global Logistics Manager – Manildra Group);
  2. Vice-Chair: Brian Thorpe (International Shipping Manager - Visy Procurement);
  3. Treasurer: Flaminio Dondina (General Manager Procurement - Casella Family Brands);
  4. Secretariat: Paul Zalai (Director - Freight & Trade Alliance - FTA)
  5. Billy Davies (Australian Meat Industry Council);
  6. Brian Wright (Australian International Movers Association);
  7. Michael Lamperd (Norco)
  8. Sarah Granger (Fletcher International Exports)
  9. Michael Brittain (AGT Foods Australia)
  10. Mark Christmas (QMAG)
