Announcing HBS LTV Online
I’m excited to announce a project I've been quietly working on for the last year or two: my new Harvard Business School Online course, Launching Tech Ventures. I’ve been teaching a version of this course to thousands of HBS MBA students for over a dozen years, helping navigate the complex journey from a startup's inception to finding product-market fit. I’m thrilled to bring it to a broader audience with the help of HBS Online, dramatically expanding its access to the broader startup community.
Launching Tech Ventures is a 5-week online course that helps early-stage startups overcome management challenges across all aspects of their business model. Whether you’re a founder, startup employee, or investor, you’ll learn what’s needed to build a viable, valuable business that can scale and attract venture capital.
The syllabus is directly derived from my popular HBS MBA course, with case studies from successful startups like Chief , Codecademy , Khatabook , Ovia Health , Plastiq , SQUIRE , and more.
Expert VCs / investors are featured, such as Sarah Tavel of Benchmark , Daniel Cohen of Viola Ventures , James Norman of Black Operator Ventures , Lindsay Hyde of Moderne Ventures , Reza Satchu of Alignvest and NEXT Canada , as well as my colleague Anna Palmer of Flybridge and XFactor Ventures . And I include a module on startup ecosystems and ethics, featuring Bailey Richardson , an early Instagram employee and now exec at Substack .
The full syllabus is below. If you want to sign up / learn more, go to the course description on the HBS Online website. Love to hear your feedback!
