6moThank you for opening my eyes to this perspective of looking at the closures. These past years, I'm seeing more introspection in higher education. More reflection. As a parent currently struggling with figuring out university costs, the kind of change that will correct this system seems so far off. Higher ed and social/economic mobility are still so closely linked. Data currently support increased lifetime learnings with college degrees. But I see this correlation fading as more people bring the perception of reduced ROI into reality. Our industry needs to move from reflection to correction.

6moThe changing landscape of higher ed is undeniable. Mergers and closures highlight the need for adaptation. Traditional institutions must evolve to prioritize practical skills training that aligns with workforce needs. Failure to do so risks becoming obsolete in a world where alternative, cost-effective paths to well-paying jobs are increasingly available. Practical > Prestige. #Highered #FutureofEducation
