Nellara Food Products a leading name in the food products industry in Dubai, has been at the forefront of manufacturing and distributing traditional and authentic Indian spices and raw materials for over 40 years. When they approached Odox SoftHub LLP, for the development of their mobile app and ERP software, we were thrilled to serve such an esteemed and experienced team.

Challenges and Preparations

Working with a brand as established as Nellara Food Products presented several challenges. The first significant factor was their extensive 40-year history in the industry, which meant dealing with a highly experienced team. The second major challenge was managing their legacy data, ensuring its integrity and security, and maintaining their hard-earned reputation.

Understanding the gravity of these challenges, we carefully planned and assembled a dedicated team of developers specifically for this project. Our goal was to execute the project smoothly, without any errors or issues. Our developers, well-trained in Odoo, took on the project as a challenge and worked tirelessly, day and night, to ensure its success.

Beyond Conventions

Working on Team Nellara's ERP software presented us with a range of challenges right from the outset. From migrating their legacy data to addressing existing code bugs, our journey was marked by numerous hurdles. In line with their requirements, our primary focus was on migrating their Odoo 8 version to the  Odoo 16 version.

Despite the daunting task, our dedicated team of developers rose to the occasion and successfully executed the migration. This involved close attention to detail in migrating not just the data, but also the code and payment systems. Each phase of the migration was  closely planned and executed to ensure an easy transition from one version to the next.

It was one of the key needs we outlined that clear and stable code be developed. Our developers ensured that the codebase was not only updated but also well-documented. This documentation served as a roadmap for understanding the details of the code and facilitated easier debugging and future enhancements.

Throughout the process, our team remained committed to delivering a bug-free solution. Continuous testing was conducted at every stage of development, with each minute bug meticulously documented and addressed. This proactive approach not only ensured a smoother user experience but also instilled confidence in the reliability of the ERP software.

The success of this project was a testament to the power of teamwork, relentless dedication, and continuous research. Countless sleepless nights were spent analysing, troubleshooting, and refining the software to meet and exceed the expectations of Team Nellara. 

Breaking The Mold

Team Nellara approached  us to develop their mobile application, leveraging our expertise in Flutter mobile app development. Our dedicated Flutter team worked diligently to meet all the client’s requirements, ensuring the delivery of an effective and user-friendly application. 

The app features a wide range of sales capabilities, including item listing by price list and barcode scanning, customer validation and credit limit checking, quotation creation, and sales order management. It also supports editable price validations, sales promotions, multiple payment methods, and discount management, alongside configurable invoice printing modes. 

For customer and lead management, the app allows for customer creation, listing, and validation, lead creation with background location fetching, and thorough invoice and receipt management. The Goods Return Voucher (GRV) features include multiple location transfers, invoice listing, return reason segregation, and editable price validations. 

Salesmen benefit from multiple loading/unloading locations and times, stock visibility, and unloading status tracking. General app features encompass printer configurations, search capabilities, notifications, check-in/check-out, local storage, user profile management, viewing and printing of receipts, invoices, and GRVs, various payment modes, and session management.

Our commitment to excellence ensured the smooth integration of these features, providing Team Nellara with a powerful tool to boost productivity.
