ANPD publishes English version of the LGPD and the International Data Transfer Regulation

On November 6, the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) published English translations of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and of the International Data Transfer Regulation introduced by Resolution CD/ANPD No. 19/2024, including the standard contractual clauses approved by the ANPD.

The documents are available on ANPD’s website at LGPD (English version) and International Data Transfer Regulation (English version).

This represents a further step in the Brazilian authority’s project to broaden the accessibility of the Brazilian data protection rules to foreign authorities, international organizations and companies that may be subject to the LGPD, including the facilitation of the use of the standard contractual clauses in both English and Portuguese, and fostering Brazil’s integration into the global data protection ecosystem.
