The glory of young men is their strength...Pr.20:29 NKJV
It's 24 days to October 1! The third thing I'd like to do if nothing was a constraint is to address youth unemployment. Only a few days ago, mindless lootings occurred in businesses believed to be owned by South Africans mostly in Lagos Nigeria. Clearly, this was not a well thought through matter as for the most part this essentially ensured that Nigerians who already have a difficult time finding work, will have an even harder time doing so.
The people who did this were definitely not gainfully employed. Employment has this way of forcing people to be responsible, even if they would not ordinarily be. Which is why most young people in the west start working by the time they are 16. Here? A person most likely starts to work after university, except of cause their parents are poor.
Close to 80% of our population are young. Over 70% of our young people are unemployed. Do we realize what we are doing? especially if the glory of young men is their strength? Does that mean we waste away the glory of our young?
