Anxiety - Know More

#anxietyawareness #mentalhealthmatters

Here is a video I had made during Covid year, that talks of Anxiety and Depression, and how you can recognise the same. At that point many people fell victims to anxiety born of isolation, and sadly that is now a worldwide 'pandemic' born of the other pandemic Covid SARS2.

When Anxiety and Depression strike together, it means a person needs medical intervention. At the minimum a therapist to hand-hold. A psychologist who can listen and help. If you or anyone you know needs help, please DM me here.

It never helps resolve any inner turmoil if one does not take measures to be informed and to heal. Healing oneself means one can live life longer, healthier and happier. Please equip yourself when you understand this more and may perhaps need help. Either for you or you family.

There are many more and much better resources that you can access to understand this condition more.

Understanding anxiety can be aided by various educational videos that provide insights into its causes, symptoms, and coping strategies. Here are some top videos that can help you gain a better understanding of anxiety:

  1. "What is Anxiety?" by The School of Life: This animated video provides a comprehensive overview of anxiety, explaining its evolutionary purpose and how it manifests in our modern lives. It offers practical insights into managing anxiety effectively.
  2. "Understanding Generalized Anxiety Disorder" by Psych2Go: This video delves into the specifics of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), exploring its symptoms, causes, and treatment options. It offers a concise and informative overview of GAD.
  3. "Panic Attacks 101" by Kati Morton: Kati Morton, a licensed therapist, explains panic attacks in this video. She discusses the physiological and psychological aspects of panic attacks and provides tips for managing them.
  4. "Social Anxiety Disorder: Symptoms, Causes, and Treatments" by PsychHub: This video focuses on social anxiety disorder, highlighting its symptoms, the impact it can have on individuals, and evidence-based treatment options. It also provides helpful strategies for managing social anxiety.
  5. "OCD and Anxiety Disorders" by TED-Ed: This TED-Ed animation explores obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and its connection to anxiety disorders. It offers a clear explanation of OCD symptoms, possible causes, and the different treatment approaches.
  6. "Understanding PTSD's Effects on Brain, Body, and Emotions" by National Center for PTSD: This video provides a deeper understanding of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It explains how traumatic experiences impact the brain, body, and emotions, leading to the development of PTSD symptoms.
  7. "Anxiety: You're Not Alone" by The Mighty: This video features personal stories and experiences of individuals living with anxiety. It serves as a reminder that many people struggle with anxiety, fostering a sense of community and reducing stigma.

Remember, while these videos can be informative, they do not replace professional medical advice or therapy. If you or someone you know is experiencing anxiety or any mental health concerns, it's crucial to seek support from a qualified mental health professional.
