EPE pearl cotton foaming machine is a special equipment used to produce EPE pearl cotton sheets. It melts the DPE resin and mixes it with other additives such as butane, talc, anti-shrinkage agent, etc., and extrudes it through the extrusion mechanism, foaming the die head and die lip, and finally cooling and extending through the air ring and setting ring. Fixed-sized pearl cotton sheets, and the final product is taken up by a take-up roller. EPE pearl cotton foaming machine mainly consists of the following parts:

1. Feed section: Both ends of the feed section are connected to the barrel and reduction box respectively, and the raw materials are fed into the extruder from this part. It includes hopper, screw, barrel, extruder main motor and other parts. The AC motor is connected to the main screw through a reduction gearbox.

2. Plasticizing heating section: This section is equipped with a high-power heating ring, which will melt the DPE resin particles and push the melted resin forward through the screw.

3. Molding heating section: This section is equipped with a heating mechanism and a cooling device to gradually cool down the plasticized raw materials until the raw materials are extruded through the screw. In addition, it also includes a butane pump and an anti-shrinkage agent pump (glycerin part), which resists The shrinkage agent pump heats the anti-shrinkage agent at a pressure of 10~15Mpa (100~150mm/cm2) and then sends it into the barrel. The feeding parts of the butane pump and the anti-shrinkage agent pump are equipped with one-way valves to prevent the raw materials from flowing backward to ensure production safety.

4. Die head part: The melted raw material is extruded from this part. The raw material begins to foam as soon as it passes through the die lip. The thickness of EPE pearl cotton sheet depends on the die lip and pulling speed.

5. Shaping drum: The width of the EPE pearl cotton sheet is determined by this part, and cooling air is provided in this part by a fan. 6. Traction roller: The sheet stretched by the shaping drum enters this part for traction. At this time, the traction speed should be kept balanced to ensure the quality of the sheet. The traction roller is equipped with a variable frequency motor to adjust the traction speed.

7. Indexable rewinding roller: This part is equipped with a meter counter that can determine the length of the sheet. When the rewinding length of the first roller reaches the set requirement, the second roller can be turned 180° to start rewinding the sheet.

The working process of the EPE foaming machine is as follows: After the mechanical preparation is completed, the first step is to heat up. The pulse width adjusts the heating ring to the maximum power output to heat the barrel to the set temperature. At the same time, the glycerin pot is heated to the set temperature. temperature; the second step, turn on the feeding motor, set it at a low speed, and add butane and glycerin according to the formula; the third step, lower the temperature, open the second-stage barrel cooling water electric regulating valve, so that the second-stage material The cylinder is cooled to the set temperature; the fourth step is to adjust the die opening and the amount of glycerin; the fifth step is production, turn on the active traction device and the rewinding mechanism, and start foaming production; the sixth step is to stop the heating system and the main Motor, butane pump and glycerin pump; step 7, stop the traction system and material collection system.

The on-site motor of the foaming machine that was renovated this time is a 37KW motor, which is started directly at the power frequency. The starting current is very large, which often causes the factory main switch to trip and affects the normal use of other equipment. Since frequent starts have a great impact on the motor, the motor will often burn and the loss will be relatively large. The above problems can be solved by using variable frequency starting, and the maintenance cost of the motor is also reduced. The on-site process requires that the motor starts within 4 seconds, and the motor starts more frequently. When selecting the VFD (Variable-frequency Drive), the power should be one higher.

According to the on-site process requirements, the startup speed should be fast and the startup should be relatively frequent. The VFD (Variable-frequency Drive) is HSF600. Use the panel to adjust speed and use the panel to start and stop. The panel displays the rotation speed. When starting, observe that the rotation speed reaches the required level and then add additional materials.

The parameter settings are as follows:

F04-8: Panel potentiometer speed adjustment.

F07-3: This parameter is used to improve the low-frequency characteristics of the VFD (Variable-frequency Drive) and to increase the VFD (Variable-frequency Drive) output voltage when operating in the low-frequency band.

F10-10: Frequency conversion downtime.

Things to note: The power distribution room does not have air ventilation openings. It is recommended that customers install ventilation fans to allow air to circulate. Keep cooling channels and fans in good condition.
