In the vibrant realm of entrepreneurship, connections are often the catalyst for growth and success. Through the InnovX Programs, companies like KFactory® and Fibercon have found their pathway to expansion, particularly in the UK market.
In March 2023, during a workshop organized by InnovX in collaboration with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), KFactory® and Fibercon had the opportunity to engage in discussions with Cristina Dragu 🇬🇧💰🚀 , EU Central Director Foreign Direct Investment at UK Department for Business and Trade . This interaction sparked ongoing conversations that ultimately led to their soft landing in the UK.
KFactory, an InnovX alumni since 2019, reinvents itself daily with the mission to connect people with technology, enhancing company efficiency and sustainability through Industry 4.0 digital solutions. Conversely, Fibercon expedites network development in Europe with quality patch cords produced and shipped from Romania.
Leveraging the network and resources provided by InnovX, KFactory and Fibercon navigated their entry into the UK market. Through the InnovX Programs, they gained access to exclusive opportunities and powerful partnerships that paved the way for their international expansion.
The partnership between InnovX and the British Embassy in Bucharest played a pivotal role in this journey. With support from key stakeholders like Cristina Dragu 🇬🇧💰🚀 , these companies capitalized on international opportunities, setting the stage for continuous success.
As part of the InnovX Community, these success stories are just the beginning. With access to ongoing support, valuable connections, and strategic partnerships, InnovX members are poised for continued growth and achievement on the global stage.
dotLumen Joins EIC Scaling Club: A Milestone Achievement in Deep Tech Innovation
dotLumen , an alumni of our European Program, celebrates a remarkable milestone as it joins the prestigious EIC Scaling Club, comprising over 120 top-tier deep tech startups.
Two years ago, dotLumen received a significant boost with a €9.7M blended finance from the EIC. Today, their inclusion in the EIC Scaling Club marks another milestone in their journey towards innovation excellence.
dotLumen's pioneering work in Pedestrian Autonomous Driving AI, now applied in the development of Glasses for the Blind, demonstrates their commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology for impactful solutions. As they embark on this new chapter, the future indeed looks bright for dotLumen and their groundbreaking innovations.

Elevator Ventures Launches €70M EV II Fund for DACH and CEE Regions
Elevator Ventures , the venture capital arm of RBI, has introduced its new €70M fund, EV II. This fund is aimed at supporting startup founders from the DACH and CEE regions, backed by significant partners like Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI).
Under the leadership of managing directors Maximilian Schausberger and Thomas Muchar , Elevator Ventures has already invested nearly €50M in European startups, establishing a successful portfolio.
EV II will focus on Series A & B rounds, with an average investment volume of €1 to €3M. Elevator Ventures aims to bolster startups across various sectors, including FinTech, AI, Cybersecurity, and Green Transformation.
Notable past investments by Elevator Ventures in the CEE region include Finqware in Romania, Autenti in Poland, CloudCart in Bulgaria and Twisto, A Param Company (exited) in the Czech Republic.

Despite these challenges, there is optimism for the future, particularly with the presence of innovative organizations like InnovX. Diana DUMITRESCU, PhD. , CEO of InnovX , highlights the role of startup ecosystems and innovative programs in driving Romania's innovation agenda forward.

FilmChain Secures $3M Investment for Film Finance Innovation
UK-based startup FilmChain , co-founded by Maria Tanjala and Irina Albita , recently closed a $3M funding round. Led by Holt IntersXion and supported by Roca X, DeBa Ventures, TechAngels Romania, and HearstLab, this investment marks a significant step forward for the platform.
Since 2018, FilmChain has been pioneering digital banking and blockchain solutions to streamline film revenue management. With clients spanning Europe and Australia, they're now eyeing expansion into North America. Co-founder Irina Albita highlights the platform's role in providing transparency and quick access to funds for filmmakers and stakeholders.
