The Art of Reflection: Understanding Our Emotions in a World of Uncertainty
Throughout my life, I have encountered numerous psychologists and self-help books claiming to understand exactly how the brain works. However, in reality, it is all theoretical and subject to human interpretation.
While theories are useful, they can only take us so far. Real-life events and experiences often surpass them. Therefore, it is crucial to master the art of dealing with difficult emotions, such as sadness and hardship. It is important to understand that not everyone can be a superhero or heroine, but we can all work towards living better one day at a time.
I do not claim to have all the answers when it comes to psychology, but I believe in speaking the truth. As both a realist and an optimist, I acknowledge that stress and anxiety can be overwhelming for our brains, and we may not always understand what tomorrow may bring. This is why it is essential to reflect on our emotions and thoughts and determine where they stem from. By taking this approach, we can shape our lives to follow a more meaningful and fulfilling path.
In my social media videos promoting good mental health, I often stress the importance of learning the art of reflection. It is only through self-awareness that we can truly understand our emotions and where they lead us. Sometimes, we feel lost, uncertain of where life is taking us. However, it is our responsibility to be honest with ourselves and confront our feelings.
I find that my life is a constant battle of figuring out where God wants me to be. Although it can be challenging, I accept it as part of my journey. I am always seeking ways to help others and make a difference in their lives. Yes, there are times when I feel lost or uncertain, but it is only temporary. I muster the strength to know that I will succeed and become happier through the opportunities that come my way.
These opportunities can be either positive or negative, depending on our thought processes and evaluations. I acknowledge that times can be tough, especially with the current global mental health crisis caused by factors such as the cost of living, the War in Ukraine, and the conflict in Sudan.
The world is filled with pain and suffering, and what we need is more empathy towards each other. Through empathy in action, we can learn and give so much more. By attempting to understand what others are going through, we can make the world a better place.

While some may argue that this is not possible due to human hatred and other negative factors, I believe that it is still worth being kind to one another. We can strive to empathize with each other, and in doing so, make a difference in the world.
