Artificial Intelligence and Personalized Learning in crisis times (Covid-19)

When Covid-19 start to spread over the world, the schools and universities closed, the education had quickly shifted to distance learning and the main goal were to adopt quickly those Digital Solutions to millions of students in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

In few weeks, countries (especially developing countries) have made better leaps forward than they have been in last decades.

The result is breathtaking where the education field is the best opportunity to accelerate the Digital Transformation.

The huge challenge was the distance learning resources development and the next the big question were

How to made those resources available for distance learning accessible to all?

Thanks to the technology, it provides very soon education platforms, educational materials and multi-accesses. And all administrative tasks were included in workflows.

The only time investment become on the final customer: “The student”.

All student-teacher online interactions become in virtual classrooms. Also, the teacher can be replaced by AI that would observe the efforts of a student and it could offer advice tailored to his needs.

This personalization can be achieved through machine learning smart programs that provide a customized learning for each individual student that respect the mode of learning and the student abilities.

With AI, the classrooms will be more equitable

and the education content would be based on critical thinking with a huge focus on soft skills.

In post pandemic time, it is necessary to cut with traditional education system and achieve inclusive education reform agenda with commitment in a sustainable economic growth.

This will only be achieved if we propose an adaptive learning where all students are allowed to learn at their own pace and at their own suitable time.
