ARUNA – Sunrise Over The LED Sky

ARUNA – Sunrise Over The LED Sky

A new day in the AV world, a new LED highlight: ARUNA provides powerful, radiant images – no matter where. An overview of the latest LED wonders from LANG.

Standing at the LANG booth at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2024, it was hard to decide which highlight to take a closer look at first. From projection and state-of-the-art image processing to fascinating displays and even a drone arena, there was plenty of cutting-edge technology to see at the AV company's stand.

One of the highlight exhibits, however, managed to catch the eye by the dozen – with a height of 3.5 metres, a length of 7 metres and a resolution of just under 4K, the ARUNA shone from the reception desk to the lounge with sharp images as well as brilliant colours and honoured the eponymous god of dawn in terms of intensity and beauty.

ARUNA is one of the latest LED products at LANG and has been generating enthusiastic reactions since its first appearance in December last year. On the one hand, this is due to its excellently coordinated technical specifications – such as the interplay of ample brightness and small pixel pitch. On the other hand, it is ARUNA's wide range of functions that further optimise the picture. „However, it would be wrong to call ARUNA an all-rounder that can do everything a little and nothing really well“, explains Svenja Mevissen , Director LED & Displays at LANG. „The cabinet can impress in any situation without any ifs and buts.“

Seeing the sunrise in all its glory

At ISE, ARUNA was in its element in the indoor setting – but the LED cabinet is much more than the typical device for indoor use. The HDR capability alone speaks for itself, giving the right images on an ARUNA wall a stunning dynamic range and breathtaking colour reproduction. Together with its brightness of 3,500 nit and a pixel pitch of only 1.95 mm, it makes memorable visualisations possible in indoor situations – but not only there.

The 500 x 500 mm cabinet is also capable of producing fantastic images outdoors. One of many aspects that make the cabinet particularly robust is the resilient X-GOB coating, which has already proven its worth with LUNA, among other LED cabinets – the special coating efficiently protects the LEDs underneath from splash water, dust and other external influences. But the epoxy does even more than contribute to stability and weather resistance: it provides a hard and even surface and also ensures even better black levels.

Additionally, ARUNA has several other features that further improve operation – in many respects: for example the impressive brightness of the cabinet is achieved by flip-chip and the Common Cathode technology furthermore contributes to the cabinet's improved energy efficiency.

Optimising the image even further

To add to that, ARUNA is also equipped with the A10s Pro receiving card from NovaStar, which LANG relies on for many of its own LED products. This card extends the processing functions, which further increases the quality of the images on the cabinet, as Svenja explains: „Among other things, the A10s enables smoother colour gradients on an ARUNA wall and delivers improved grayscale quality.“

ARUNA is cleverly designed, equipped for a wide range of conditions and comes with a host of features that ensure a brilliant end result. Such statements are easy to make at first glance – but at this year's ISE, LANG gave a brilliant demonstration of what ARUNA is actually capable of.

Just like the sunrise, the cabinet delivers rich and deep colours you will never get enough of – no matter how many times you watch the spectacle. You don't often see this much dynamics and depth in the LED sector, which is why ARUNA is so impressive – both indoors and outdoors.
