AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE!

AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE!

State Of Play, Exporter.

BIG NEWS - As we speak there is a tasting happening for State of Play at Boatshed Market in Cottlesloe in Perth. So if you have any friends in Perth can you please send them down and buy a mix pack!

We are starting our Export journey in Perth in the best independent markets and bottle shops. Boatshed Market is a great example and we will see how the taste of Kiwi appeals to the Aussie Palate.

It will be good to have time selling in the Australian market - there is a lot of opportunity with a big thirsty population. We are not in a hurry. We will work with those that can help retell the story and why our beer tastes so good.

The Judges at this years Australian International Beer Awards gave us the nod as the most awarded brewery in the non-alc segment! All that work to get three award winning beers into an awesome mix pack. So the timing is perfect and now another country will decide on their new favourite beer.

It is a moment to take stock of how far we have come in 27 months. We will hit the ground running in Australia with the ultimate Mix pack. The three beers have been finely tuned over the past two years. We know they are good and will sell well.

Now we are set to launch our next beer in New Zealand and encourage an even bigger audience to taste the difference of New Zealand made naturally brewed zeros. More on that new brew news soon and you will be able to pre-order a six pack.

Ales & Trails 2 at Small Gods Taproom

On Wednesday we had the second gathering of beer fans, Brew geeks, Camino crusaders and the out and out curious.

Big thanks to Luke and Lucy at Small Gods Taproom - great spot for a brew.

Big thanks to Ben from Living Simply Outdoor specialist store in Newmarket. Ben brought down a range of Aarn Backpacks and some great advice on training, footware (especially insoles) and how the team in the store can help out.

We didn't have a huge turnout so more beers for those that came and it was cool to get everyone in the conversation. A top night out.

Top eyebrow tips included in this presentation.

This slide in my presentation is of me back in 1993 at the Munich Beerfest. Photo on the left was day 6 (still wearing the same Shirley Rugby jersey) and day 7 was me in the morning when my mates had shaved off one eyebrow over night. Amazing I let it happen as it looks like i'm sleeping with the other eye open!

Top tip, if this ever happens to you don't do what I did and shave the other one off. It is a very bad look. Of course I were bullet proof back then - and what an apprenticeship as I was soon kicking off a career in big beer that kept going another 25 years.

Back in 2020 there were times I thought I was still that kid at the Beerfest. Actually at 145kgs I was almost two of those kids!

I reckon I had 60,000 pints, enough for a couple of beer lifetimes so finally it was enough of the booze, and the beginning of 100% zero.

31 years later the Munich Beerfest has a new highlight in the city centre. The new bar is called Die Null and the first 100% alcohol free tent. Have a read about it HERE

The beer scene in Germany is awesome especially because it is about the 'getting together' not 'getting hammered'. It's only the Hofbrau House that all the Aussies and Kiwis go to that still has that guy in the photo.

Far out Farro!!

What a great range of Non-alc at Farro stores. This is the fridge in Grey Lynn.

I met the Farro Head Office team this week and fingers crossed we can get the Mix Pack in to join Nectaron Unfiltered in Store.

Hopefully we get our mix packs in soon!

These guys do non-alc really well - chilled, well sign posted and big range across beer, wine and premixed.

Good to see the Alta Ego range in store - these are really good.

Daily Organics zero wines are also a gamechanger.
