Felix is a multifaceted professional with over a decade of experience in driving Continuous Improvement, Innovation, and Analytics across diverse industries. He holds numerous certifications, leads international initiatives, and has earned accolades for his contributions to industrial engineering, including authoring internationally recognized books and receiving prestigious awards.

Hi, my name is Felix Concepcion Veroya, a lifelong learning champion from the Philippines in areas of Innovation, Sustainability, Analytics, and Continuous Improvement, Founder & CEO of Ask Lex PH Academy, and I’m an author at Bookboon Learning.

Tell us about yourself:

From my personal experience of having significant positive life changes because of lifelong learning, my mission is to influence more people to explore the same path. I am currently involved in several startups on EdTech and DataTech and also helps MSMEs (Micro – Small – Medium Entreprises) to build their competencies on Productivity and Quality through Operational Excellence frameworks including Innovation, Sustainability, Analytics, and Continuous Improvement. Together with my team, we design and develop lifelong learning interventions that aims to help our communities in the Philippines and the neighbor Southeast Asia countries. As of this writing, we have helped more than 25,000 students and young professionals to learn 21st century workplace skills through free e – learning courses under Project EskwelaJUAN. Our vision is to create 1,000,000 lifelong learners by 2030.

Your career crosses various industries such as Academics, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing. How has your multidisciplinary experience shaped your perspective on Continuous Improvement, Innovation, and Analytics?

In my 12 years of experience, I am fortunate to be exposed in various facets of Operation Excellence which includes Innovation, Sustainability, Analytics, and Continuous Improvement. This exposure provided opportunities and avenues for me to create value to the organizations and I am affiliated with while leading teams and mentoring team members to continuously learn on a personal level and achieve organizational objectives at the same time.  This multi – disciplinary attributes provide me with a holistic approach that developed my complex problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. This is the content of my most recent book at Bookboon entitled “Top 10 Skills of the Future and How to Build Them | Lifelong Learning for the 21st Century Workplace”.

As someone with diverse certifications, how do you approach skill development and stay updated with the latest methodologies and tools in your field?

For the last 12 years, it has been my personal practice to conduct an assessment of my current skills every start of the year and compare it to the current job market requirement to check my relevance to the industry. I have developed the ABC Model for Lifelong Learning. A stand for Assess which covers for the assessment of my essential skills of the current job market and reconciling it with my own skills inventory as well as identifying their current levels. I have created a 5 – level Rubric for this assessment. B stand for Build which covers steps and best practices on how to build the skills that have gaps based on the current market requirement. C stand for Capitalize which covers for the opportunities on how to capitalize and maximize the skills built based on the assessment done. I also conduct an individual SWOT Analysis as part of this Lifelong Learning Tool Kit.

Being recognized with the WCP Legacy Award and receiving an Honorary Doctoral Degree are remarkable achievements. How have these accolades influenced your approach to your work and your commitment to excellence?

I treat my achievements as motivation not only for myself but also for the people who spend portion of their precious time reading, watching, interacting, and consuming my content in all formats. It has been my personal commitment to always perform to the best that I can and to deliver excellent results as much as I could.
