Archer Aviation plans to build 250 air taxis in 2025
Oct 24 (Reuters) - Archer Aviation Inc (ACHR.N) said it aims to make about 250 battery-electric air taxis in 2025 and scale up production in the following years, after setting a goal of getting its aircraft certified by the end of 2024. "In our first year, we will build 250 aircraft, our second year will build 500 aircraft, our third year will build 650 aircraft and then we scale it up to around 2,000 aircraft per year," CEO Adam Goldstein told Reuters in an interview.

Accountant jailed for 2 years, stripped of CPA designation, for $1.3M theft from Gander Aviation
Lumsden resident who stole nearly $1.3 million from an aviation services company in Gander over a three-year period has been stripped of his designation as a chartered professional accountant and sentenced to two years in jail. Gerald Templeman, 50, was convicted in Gander provincial court on Oct. 13 by Judge Mark Linehan. In addition to the jail time, Linehan also ordered Templeman to repay more than $1.1 million to Gander Aviation and another $10,000 to Steers Insurance.

Aviation back in ‘full force’ as passenger confidence surges to 83 percent

Confidence in aviation has come back in full force, as the majority of global travellers feel safe flying again. Figures from Inmarsat’s latest passenger experience survey, which was published today, show that 83 percent of world passengers are optimistic about air travel. This is 73 per cent up on last year’s levels. Brazilians and Saudis are the most confident, with 90 percent of respondents feeling good about flying, while the UK was slightly below average at 81 percent.

Planes from Florida Tech Aviation fly Hurricane Ian relief supplies to Naples
Six Florida Tech planes took flight Friday morning from FIT Aviation at Melbourne Orlando International Airport with hurricane supplies for Naples.
