Single Mother Adopts Four Siblings from The Baby Fold
The Judge was overcome with emotion in the courtroom. Having previously seen the four siblings’ cases come across his desk, he could not have imagined such a positive outcome for them. They'd been living in separate foster homes right here in Central Illinois until one woman changed their lives forever.
Hilary Pacha, of Bloomington, IL, opened her heart and home to the four siblings and grew her small family of two into a vibrant family of six in just a few years.

Recognizing the Heroes Among Us
Foster families work diligently behind the scenes right here in our community to provide safe and loving temporary homes for local children in need. To honor their incredible dedication and selflessness, The Baby Fold's Foster Care team recently held an appreciation event.
Children and families enjoyed a delicious meal, new books, a toy-filled table, bounce house, and face painting.
It was a heartwarming evening filled with gratitude, acknowledging the profound impact these families have on the lives of local children.

Post-Adoption Services Keep Families Together
The adoption journey doesn't end when the adoption is finalized; it's often just the beginning. To improve stability, families sometimes need assistance from people who understand their unique emotional and behavioral needs. This is where The Baby Fold's Post Adoption Service team steps in to bring families no-cost, comprehensive services including Adoption Support and Preservation, Respite Care, and Adoption Record Search and Support..
Every month, our Adoption Support and Preservation program serves approximately 160 families with adopted or guardianship-placed children living in 22 counties across Central Illinois. Our dedicated team of therapists and case managers provides specialized support to ensure stability, enhance family functioning, and prevent out-of-home placements
Respite Care provides short-term relief to families including in- and out-of-home care, mentoring, and camp experiences like The Baby Fold's Camp Take-A-Break, held throughout year. This therapeutic weekend camp offers fun activities and allows children to connect with other adopted kids.
The Baby Fold's Adoption Record Search and Support team helps Baby Fold adoptees and families complete their life puzzle through non-identifying background letters and mediation services that include the exchange of letters and personal items for families with open adoptions.
These post-adoption services play a vital role in ensuring the long-term success and well-being of children and families touched by adoption.
