Back From Podfest & Blk Pod Festival

Whew! I am back from a great week of speaking at podcast conferences. My first stop was in Orlando at Podfest. It was nice to see some familiar faces and some new faces. The last time we were together, was March 2020 before the whole world came to a complete stop because of the pandemic. My next stop was at Blk Pod Festival in Atlanta where I also spoke. This was the first Podcast festival focused on Blacks in podcasting here in Georgia. I must say that this event was refreshing looking at the industry through Black lenses.

I had an amazing time at both. I got a lot of joy out of sharing my podcast journey with those who showed up at my sessions. As long as I've been podcasting and talking about podcasting, there was something different about these two events. This is not my first rodeo, but I got a lot of each event which caused me to rethink how I wanted to move as it pertains to my company.

After I got back home and had some time to stop and breathe, I made a decision that moving forward, I wanted to make podcasting my main business. This is an industry that I love and after speaking to my audience at both events, I realized that there are some really amazing people out there with awesome stories and I want to help them tell those stories.

So, as I make a few adjustments, I wanted to let you know that The Noise Report will focus mostly on the podcast industry. There are so many great things happening right now and I am glad to be in the midst of it all.

I am moving back into the studio and getting ready to launch a new slate of shows. I will be going places in podcasting that I've never gone before and it's exciting.
