THE BALLAD OF FRED THE FROG

THE BALLAD OF FRED THE FROG

There once was a frog

whose name was Fred,

he hopped around

and bounced on his bed.

He hopped to the pond

and went for a swim,

he called for his friends

and they all joined in.

He hopped to the shops

to help out his mum

and she would reward him

with a nice currant bun.

He hopped and jumped

all over the place

with a laugh and a giggle

and a smile on his face.

At night-time he loved

to sit and knit,

he was making a scarf

that would snugly fit,

around his neck

when days were cool,

it gets chilly cold

in that murky old pool.

A thick woolly hat

and some nice warm mitts,

would make him happily

shout "RIBBIT!"
