(Deuteronomy 14:2)
“For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. ”

A person of taste is one who has a good ability to judge aesthetically, possessing the faculty of discerning judgement in aesthetics. Such a person knows what is appealing and artistic and has a sense of what is proper and acceptable.
Unlike God who has chosen us unto Himself as a peculiar people, some persons have little or no taste at all, and this shows in how they do not care about the state of the things they choose or place around them. Some do not even see or notice the difference between what is excellent and what is shabby. Their focus is only on getting things done without due regard for the state of things when they are finished. This is not the spirit of excellence.
If you must be excellent just like God your Father is, you must always be conscious of yourself, your environment and the proper or right way things should be done to bring out the best in them, because without taste and a desire for what is excellent according to God’s standard, you may not excel as God desires for you. So ask Him to make you a person of taste today.
