Becoming an Entrepreneur

In almost anything in life, communication is key.

It’s true in business.

It’s true in entrepreneurship.

It’s true in relationships.

It’s a skill and lesson I learned while going through my journey alongside Samantha Rossin.

I have loved watching her evolve and grow to become someone who enjoys starting her own endeavors as much as I do (well, it’s probably close).

Samantha’s family had no entrepreneurial experience.

When I met her, she didn’t understand what I was all about.

However, I really believe when someone knows what they want and are passionate about something, people are drawn to that shit.

Not even seven months into our relationship, I asked her to leave a full-time job and come with me to the “big city lights” of Des Moines, Iowa.

Remember, I’m from a small town in a small state so Des Moines was a major life leap.

As you know from where we are today, she believed in me, quit her job and then we moved her out of her place.

In another blog post, I highlighted our struggles as a couple in entrepreneurship. You can read that and how it led me to form my vision here.

While they were formative when it comes to being a couple, they were still a positive experience in the end.

Now I’m watching Samantha really grow into herself as an entrepreneur.

I have been impressed at how she jumped into this and has been so good at establishing herself.

I’m so hyped to debut “Red Flags,” a documentary on her story at Rise & Record later this month. Shameless plug: you can get your tickets here for the event, which runs Oct. 19-21 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
