'There' begins here

It was a special and poignant moment for me to capture a moment where all the pieces of my autobiography, From Zero to Shakti/SHE puzzle seems to finally fall in place.

I have always meant to put together a practical methodology for the lessons I have learnt from the journey shared in the book.

Beyond being an inspirational read, I wanted the book to also provide definite guideposts to support people in THEIR journey to self-healing and empowerment. The singular most important thing to do in life in my humble opinion.

In addition, I wanted to embed the wisdom from positive psychology into the practical tips. I just ..... never got round to it. Procrastination. Yes, even I am guilty of that.

Starting SHE network turned out to be the magic sequence of events that finally got my mind and pen together and created the structure for the practical aspect of my book.

Having to give a talk for the IWD 'Celebrating Women' event turned out to be such a blessing. The momentum has began for me to flesh out the SHE pathway to be taken on the next level and help people in concrete ways to find their path to self-healing and empowerment.

Having very talented Chan Wai from INKGRAM put the SHE pathway in vivid graphic form not only made the pathway even much more concrete for me, it also fired up my inspiration to finally put heart to action for what was an intention set on back burner for 3 years.

I am deeply blessed to do the positive work that I do, with an upcoming book and podcast to look forward to and being surrounded by a tribe of women eager and ready to empower themselves and others with their SUPERPowers.

Arriving at this point in my life where I am finally doing the work that I love and living an engaging and flourishing life with nurturing relationships was not moulded by lady luck. It was unwavering belief, grit and effort that one day, I will get 'there'. From the small child who attempted suicide, to where I am today, I am 'there' now.

• Where are you now?
• Where is 'there'? for you?
• How far are you from 'there'?
• What are the pathways available to reach 'there'?
• Do you even know where 'there' is?

Whatever I did, it is possible for everyone. But not without hope-fueled action driven by purpose and momentum. Wherever 'there' is, however vague it is to you at the moment, do something. A small action, a phonecall, a quick search, move a millimeter towards 'there.

'There' and someday begins here and now.

May your feet always be in constant motion towards 'there'. Be blessed.
